So I bought a brand new kuryakyn sissy bag that I have never been able to use since I ditched my m109r shortly after it arrived. I bought this for my r1200gs and it lays flat on the back seat. It’s a bit big laying horizontal, so don’t pack it full if you have a similar bike. This is made for vertical setups. Looks like it’ll hold out well in the rain and possibly even for a quick drop in a stream. I didn’t want to see what happens to the wet pads so I didn’t try. I plan to place sleeping bag, tent and other camping items in it. Can’t speak to the quality as I haven’t put it through the paces, but looks like it should last through the wind abuse despite not being aerodynamic. Con: helmet holder on the back is too small for a motorcycle helmet. Perhaps a bike helmet as I saw after the fact in the pic. There’s an unknown strap that could be used to hold the helmet however it would swing back and forth. May be best to use the unused space and store it in the bag. ... show more

I got this bag to use it as a dry backpack with my motorcycle. It is affordable, the price is simply right and it gets the job done. However, you will need a sissy bar if you plan on using on a motorcycle as well. It comes with multiple stripes that can be easily detached if needed. Listing below what, in my opinion, are the top features: - Water resistant - Capacity: 35liters, it holds a full face helmet easily. - Air valve (this is critical in order to pack it as compact as possible) - Multiple pockets (water bottle, documents…) - Padded back area (it is really comfortable to carry even when full and heavy) I have a touring bike so I need the sissy bar to carry the bag, however if you have an adventure bike with a long and wide seat, this may not be necessary. I do a lot of camping so I will use it to carry my tent and cot without worrying they may get wet in case it rains while in transit. ... show more

First of the main pouch is amazing. Waterproof so far with no issue. The cavity is big enough for everything I can imagine. You can let the air out making it more compact as well. The outer pocket is water resistant but I would not use waterproof. So dont keep anything important or electronic in there. My biggest complaint which the only reason I do not give it 5 stars are the straps. They come undone by themselves, I have adjusted them and make sure they are sitting flat bit I will still get home and 1 or both of them have come undone. After riding in a severe downpour and the wind blowing me around I feel it's a great bag for the money just becareful of the straping. ... show more
