Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this luggage. I have traveled all over for the last 30 years and have owned more expensive luggage and swear by Samsonite. My last luggage from them was perfect and had so many compartments and I was worried this wouldn't hold as much. I can get so much in this luggage and like that it is double sided and you can zip one side to hold it in - I do miss my soft side luggage but I carry this for long trips and bring a smaller soft sided one for the carry on and put my expensive shoes in it and belts. This is probably one of the worst suitcases I could have purchased. I purchased it the first week of May and it is now the 2nd week of July and is basically unusable. After the first 4-5 weeks one side of one of the 4 wheels basically eroded or came off. And then after 4 weeks one of the zippers came off the track. I thought at least I have another zipper and that just came off and my clothes were spilled all over the streets. This is just after two months of general use. A couple of flights, and changing Airbnb accomodations. I purchased this because of the brand reputation and quality and now only two months later I'm actually in Latvia and need to purchase a new suitcase to replace this. I had gone to a Samsonite store and they said the wheels and parts for European suitcases are different than for America, so I can't even pay to get it repaired. Complete waste of money and a crap product. I've shared only the video of the wheel, because the suitcase shell is still basically fine except for not being able to zip it closed. ... show more

I’ve taken the Samsonite Luggage on many international flights, and it has held up extremely well. The hard shell is very durable and has protected my belongings through all kinds of handling. The spinner wheels make it super easy to navigate airports, and the expandable feature is a huge plus when I need a little extra room. The only issue I encountered was during a trip to Singapore when one of the wheels fell off. Luckily, there was a Samsonite service center nearby, and they repaired it in just 30 minutes for $35. I used this for a 5 day/ 4 night trip for two and it fit everything we needed. It’s the perfect sized checked bag. It’s sturdy and light. The bag is zippered on one side and has straps on the other. The wheels are easily maneuverable, the handle works as designed. The only con about this luggage is that I got black and it looks like every other bag on the conveyor belt but that’s not much to complain about. Great price too. ... show more

The color in pictured isn’t at all the same purple. The purple that I received was a more muted metallic purple (thank goodness). I was worried that it would be a super bright purple like in the picture but I was buying it last minute (4 days before my trip) and it was used and I wasn’t sure that I’d receive it in time so I didn’t have time to be too picky. Thankfully, I received it in time to disinfect it and let it dry before I packed my clean clothes in it. I was pleasantly surprised by the color. It took a beating by the baggage handlers (as do all the luggage) and came out looking as fresh as a daisy at our destination. My daughter’s hardside luggage was small enough and light enough to be a carry-on but we checked it anyway and it was cracked when we got it back (it was an off brand and I only bought it because she insisted on having a pink luggage and it had to be a specific pink color; I bought hers used a couple years ago). My luggage was easy to maneuver around in a crowded airport and I expect it to last awhile because my other Samsonite luggage has lasted about 8 years and is still going strong. This hardside has a zipper down the middle so when you open it and try to have one side up, stuff on the other side will fall if it’s not zippered/strapped in. So, you have to open it with both sides down (obviously). Overall, I really like this luggage. ... show more

This suitcase is largely what I expected except for its size; I would have been better off one size down (24 vs 28"). When fully loaded, it is very likely to surpass the 50-pound limit airlines impose on checked luggage in coach. If you're flying business, this suitcase is perfect. I am not sure of its durability, as it is lightweight when empty, which is also an advantage. It seems well built, and its wheel system is excellent.
