I wasn't sure what to expect, but was very pleased when it arrived and I tried it on over my riding jacket. it holds a good bit of stuff when packed properly. it is much more aerodynamic than the big square hard pack I was using. I can barely tell it's on me at higher speeds since it doesn't flutter or flop around with the wind. Glad I took the chance on it. ... show more

I got this riding backpack for my boyfriend last year on his birthday. He was recently in a motorcycle accident, where he flew over the handle bars flipped around and slid 50-100ft on his back. As you can see, the backpack did its job taking the impact while he slid, and it kept his lower body elevated and off the ground as he slid. I wrote this review in mid July, originally giving it four stars, and commented that one seam had ripped (the top grip). Less than three weeks later, I'd give it one star. This thing is falling apart, as there are now ~8 seams coming undone. Now I would *definitely* say, don't buy this. My Original Review: I bought this to use while riding to and from work in place of my Osprey. It'll hold my laptop, a book or two, and an assortment of stuff that weighs in total ~15 lbs. It will NOT hold a 17" laptop that I use regularly for engineering. I have a courier backpack for that. It seems roomy, but you have to use the space carefully when you really fill it up. To help with organization and packing inside, I have most stuff organized into packets, zipper pouches or clam shells, because everything that's loose gets tossed into a jumble in the bottom of the pack. Computer cables and whatnot become a royal PITA in that case. Is it as good as my old AΩIO turtle shell? Heck no. But, at 1/4 the price (or more), it works very well for my needs. I haven't tried it in anything more than a mist, so cannot really comment on weather proof capability or not. If it's going to rain, I use my courier bag anyway. The hard shell is nice, and I have reflective markers on the shell (I'd rather be seen by zombie drivers than not and be road kill). Only negative so far - the lifting strap on top (not really a strap, but a fold) is useless. The seam split and frayed within the first week of use (see picture). Now I just use the shoulder straps to pick it up - they're more durable. Would I buy it again? Tough call. I'd shop around to see if something seemed more suitable. ... show more

This is a great durable bag fits a lot of stuff in it however because I'm such a small lady it's just big and bulky on me if your average size I would say five six five seven five eight and up this would be an okay fit for you this would be better but because I'm only 5'1" it's huge on me

This is a great backpack but I wish that the hard shell was stronger then it is now. There's alot of room in the back for a laptop and books. This backpack would be great for someone riding to school or businessman it's not bad packing stuff up from the store either. When I riding at the speeds of 80 to 120 I was amazed how well the pack wad like a shell on my back and didn't wanna move or come off. I love this backpack but I will say again I wish the shell was a harder material then what it is. So give it take I'm still gonna give it 5 starts because of the price and the looks the room it has and how well it did on the high speeds. Help this helped you out Thank you ... show more

    • poor quality. straps came apart after minimal use.
I have been using this bag for about a month now and so far both the chest and waist straps have come apart. Really disappointed since this bag is good for riding back and forth to work. My helmet fits perfectly in the bag when it is expanded. Would not recommend this bag. *UPDATE* After sewing and gluing the straps back on, now the inner lining is coming apart.
