The thermostat in my Dodge Dakota lasted 23 years, 127000 miles. I changed it when my upper radiator hose fell apart. I don't know, but suspect the thrermostat failed to open and pressure blew the hose (which was also 23 years old...amazing). Anyway, I bought a thermostat from NAPA and another from OReilly's , one was $26 and the other $28. Then I ordered this one from Amazon $7. When it arrived , I had all three to compare. They were identical, even though the boxes were all different (branding). The thermostat's not only looked the same, they were stamped with the manufacturers name. I didn't give 5 stars because I don't know about long term efficacy, but the "fit" was perfect, the price annd speedy delivery, amazing. ... show more
