  • Great Value + Working Well
I purchased two Eufy Motion Sensors for my home and they have proven to be reliable and function perfectly. You will need a working Eufy Homebase, or Homebase 2, in order to use the Eufy Motion Sensors. Adjustments for sensitivity, when the sensors will be active, and how you receive notice of movement, etc., are all made using the Eufy phone App. Adding the motion sensor to your existing system is a snap; I believe it took longer to remove the sensor for the packaging and install the battery than it did to pair the sensor to my Homebase 2. Mounting the sensor to your wall or ceiling is also easy using screws or peel and stick tape, all of which is included. I have a number of Eufy products and, in general, I'm quite happy with them. However, I find Eufy's help and instructions to be either vague, fragmented, non-existent, or just plain wrong. In this case there are no instructions for sensitivity adjustments, etc.. Figuring out how to make those adjustments with your phone App is relatively intuitive, but Eufy leaves it up to you to hunt and peck. Also, the User Manual is incorrect (page 8), where it discusses battery replacement. In my experience this is quite typical of Eufy, which is why I only gave them 4 stars for installation. ... show more

  • EASIEST. INSTALL. EVER
I already own the Eufy camera and it EXCEEDED my expectations (Not a big fan of the Ring after using it for 2 years), so I decided to try their alarm. It took me about 2 minutes to install with the adhesive tape— no need for instructions. Got the app and schedule set up in minutes as well. I absolutely love this brand and the value you get for the price is unbeatable. ... show more

  • works as advertised
I bought this motion sensor along with the Eufy keypad along with the Eufy Cam2 cameras. The motion sensor works as advertised. I installed it in our living room, and as I walk around it can detect me moving from a distance of around 10 feed or so. Once motion is detected a signal is sent to the mobile app. I'm happy with the purchase and I recommend it. ... show more

  • Sensitive Detector (Which is a good and bad thing)
Eufy Security Review I’ve put a lot of time into researching alarm systems. I used to work for an alarm system company and believe in home managed “smart” systems. Eufy caught my eye after a lot of great reviews on the doorbell. I decided to keep all my sensors and cameras within the same system to keep it easier to manage. After having it for 8 months now: I’ll go over the pros and cons of this system from my experience. My system includes: 2k Wireless Doorbell Cam, Door/window sensors, Motion sensors, Eufycam 2c (wireless) version, Eufy Cam 2, and a 2k Indoor Cam Pan and Tilt. I have been testing most cameras on the highest sensitivity Pros: 1. Won’t drain your wifi: We have relatively low bandwidth, a decent amount of smart devices, and Eufy works well most of the time! The range is good too I have one camera in the backyard away from the house and it streams well. 2. Local recording: Peace of mind knowing someone at the company or something isn’t watching you.. I hope, haha. 3. Installation and setup: Don’t know how it could be easier. 4. Interface is easy to use and setup to customize 5. Battery on dedicated Cameras - The version 2 camera really did last 6 months before I had to charge it, and I had high sensitivity most of the time. The 2C cameras are good, but not quite as advertised. The doorbell is the worst and I have to charge is about every 2-3 weeks. Cons: 1.) Motion detection - this is my biggest issue with the system as its part of most of the products use this hardware to trigger alerts or record. - Detection/reach is NOT 30 feet. I’ve measured on multiple cameras and it rarely picks up anything that far away. Usually starts recording at about 10-15 feet (so half?!). Not great. - People and dogs? Nope. It will often go off with cars, leafs blowing by, when a cloud moves and the suns sines through brighter than the second before, and more. This can be very frustrating, especially when you have it set to “human only” mode. WHAT HUMAN CAN MOVE 35 mph and is 12 feet long? Or what human is 3 inches big and brown…i.e a leaf? Haha. - Slow: If someone hurries up to your door or by the camera, it won’t pick it up. I get a lot of recording of back of heads as UPS folks are going away. -Sometimes misses obvious ones: A family member will walk by a camera 10 ft away in the middle of the day, or go to their car and nothing will have been triggered. Kinda scary. This is especially odd since I’ll get 3 triggers a day from a gust of wind, but not a person walking by… I don’t get it. 2.) False Alarms. This is mostly a product of the motion detection and mentioned above. The scariest in when you have the alarm set to “away” in the middle of the night. The heater turns on in the basement and a “motion detection” alarm goes off. You spring out of your bed… oh crap, someone is in the basement?? Grab a gun, wife runs to grab kids… your adrenaline is running high at 2am and… nothing (thankfully). Have that happen a few times with a camera, or motion sensor and then it becomes a boy who cried wolf situation. Scary when you actually need to be alarmed though you’ve built up a tolerance. But hey, now I’m getting good at “sweeping” an area much like a SWAT team I see in the movies? Haha 3.) Default evening motion detection is set to “all things”. So if cars go by, you’ll have to turn off notifications or else you’ll get a LOT, all night. 4.) Doorbell Battery life: if you want to monitor well, it dies quickly. Again, it picks things up late in my experience so I have to have it on high sensitivity or it misses obvious things. And yes, I’ve tried placing it in different spots. 5.) Image quality not as advertised- for “2k” on some of these cameras, it’s not like the advertisements where you can zoom in and clearly see a license plate or something haha. Faces are pretty good, but it’s not thaaaat great. Better than others for sure, but still not what you’d expect for what seems to be the highest def in the consumer wireless market. 6) Incomplete Security items: These are bonuses, but a fire-alarm, flood sensors, or other items that would make it complete. This includes monitoring service. Would be great to have IF you go away on vacation for a week. I’d pay for it. Lastly, I love that a certain competitor has a cell signal incase wifi goes out. 7) Indoor cam has its own security settings. Why is this separate? Just treat as another 2c, or version 2 camera. Conclusion: I had high hopes for this system. Other systems seems to be less compatible with google home, or charge money to use the cloud, or don’t locally record, etc…. It seems there is not a perfect complete system. This one is pretty good If I were to do it again I would just use the doorbell and maybe door/window sensors. I then would get the cameras and motion sensors from a different company and hope I can bridge it all to a google home or something. ... show more

  • I can use my camera properly now
I have a camera in the Patio that is too far for the motion sensor to detect people and animals. The Arlo camera that was previously there had the same issue. I didn't want to move it because the coverage from that location is great. This standalone sensor is really great. I placed it closer to where the actual traffic happens and set it to trigger recording on two cameras. Make sure to adjust the sensitivity and positioning or it won't work too good. Now I can finally get use of that camera if someone gains access to my patio. ... show more

  • Lack feature integration with cameras
Sensor did great at detecting motion, but... when linked to a camera to move to that location, the camera did not follow the cause of the motion. The "human" walked by as the camera went to a preset position.

  • Love these things
Slowly replacing my Security system sensors so I can standardize Eufy (since I have two of their high end doorbells and 2-3 of their cameras) Everything in 1 App and everything "Just works". No false alarm/trigger issues. Cannot comment on battery life but so far so good.

  • About as good as it gets.
Have waited a year with 8 Eufy cameras (6 pro 2, 1backdoor battery and 1 front door wired. They have all performed well except the wired front door, with occasional missed visitors and false alarms. Weve 1 pro 2 mounted on a tree near the river 7' up and 60 yds. from homebase. River flooded completely submerging camera for 2 days, when water level dropped below camera it connected to wifi and has been working perfectly to this day. Some people are chronic complainers but I'm not one of them! Eufy security system has its pros + cons. but they all do. We have been satisfied with Eufy products. ... show more
