I don't think you will find a better hang on stand for less, it's priced right. I hunt on public land so I'm not going to buy a $200+ stand to have a determined thief steal it from me. It's not aluminum like the expensive stands but compared to other steel stands I think is reasonable light weight. The platform has ample space to stand and rest your feet. 3 minor things I'm not too crazy about, one is the ratchet straps, they're loud so I will be replacing them with cam lock straps. The second is the seat, about 1 inch so not comfortable for a long seating. I will add a foam cushion, right now I'm using a hot seat. Last, mine didn't come with the straps to carry it on your back, what I did was remove the straps from 2 bags, clip them to the platform in order to carry it on my back. These are all minor things that anyone can overlook. P.S. I use an extra heavy duty cam lock strap as a security measure. I plan to leave it on locked to a tree this season, I will update this review after this season is over if the stand breaks/fails. I will also check all the bolts, cables, sand any rust spots and paint it for next season. ... show more

Hung this stand the day after I received it. It is strong and sturdy. I am a big man and it holds my weight just fine. Easiest hang on stand I have ever hung in my life. Padded seat is good. It folds up if you want to stand for a bit. Overall great stand for price... Thinking about getting a few more for other locations. Just make sure after climbing out of it you tighten your straps they will stretch and the stand will pull in the tree some with your weight climbing on it. Only issue I have is I have noticed some rust spots coming up on it everywhere. In the grate where the feet are and the seat. (Like it didn't get painted good.) Not a major issue since I caught it so fast I can paint over it and fix that problem. ... show more

    • EASY TO PUT TOGETHER GREAT for the price!
When putting it together there is no hassle I think its maybe 5 bolts and its done. I see the reviews about the welds not being good but what do you expect with almost the cheapest stand on the market. I weigh almost 200 lbs and this stand has never worried me getting in it. I give it a 10/10 for price and set up but my overall rating when comparing to other stands is a 3.5ish so i gave it a 4. Hope you found this helpful. ... show more

Exactly what you’d expect but for the price it’s amazing. Bought a few to put up semi permanently around my area. They’re light easy to set up and fairly comfy on a straight tree. Definitely would recommend it to someone on a budget or someone looking to set up multiple spots. Only advice is give it a coat of rustoleum or something alike before you hang it ... show more

RUST INSTANTLY when u get the box open up somewhere where u don't care if a million little metal beads go everywhere. Next go and spray the hole thing with some anti rust spray praint preferably not shiny. Definitely spray paint stand bc I got mine un boxed it set it on the front porch went out the next morning and it had rust spots!!! So lucky I had some anti rust spray paint in brown to fix this problem after I did that I am happy to say it's a good stand soild doesn't make noise. Ohh and tighten down all your bolts before you use it ... show more

    • Great deal on solid stand
Great value for a sturdy stand. Needed a lock on for those places I cannot use my climber. Read a lot of comments saying cables were different lengths. Before I trust my life to something (esp. if made in China), I will take apart and inspect. My finding on cables was simply that if they arrive tightened and set at different angles they will appear to be different lengths. Once “lined up” they were the same. I put it on a tree and it's very solid and very quiet. Paint job was fine and I personally camo painted mine so no need to worry about rust. Will actually order two more bc I can have more options for different places and I’m very impressed for the price. ... show more

    • Great stand for beginners or public land hunters!!
This stand is what you would expect for the price. If you hunt public land and leave your stands in the woods this stand would work. I would maybe recommend the larger version of this stand (I own both). If you want a beginner stand to carry on your back then this is definitely what you will want. I would buy a after market harness and straps for safety reasons. I would also spray paint the stand ASAP because it rusts quick. The platform is very small once you get hunting boots on. But overall a good stand for the price. ... show more
