The media could not be loaded. I love this screen protector. Beautiful paper feel, but not so rough it will eat apple pencil tips. It definitely softens the glare from lights without losing any detail or color. It went on beautifully, no bubbles at all, you just have to make sure you clean your area up before applying (general rule of putting on screen protectors). It fits beautifully in my Zugu case as well without lifting. As an artist I had to test the pencil. It works beautifully and it's nice and smooth but you still get the "paper" sound (see video). First the bad: luckily it comes with 2 screens because the first is an installation practice round. I ended up not using the plastic base on the 2nd attempt. Seemed to be easier. Bubbles, yes, I had several bubbles. I ended up buying my own squeegee and after about two days, they all just disappeared. The Good: Works absolute perfect!     • Makes the ipad feel like a professional drawing display, but introduces a lot of line wobble.
Have been using it for about 3 weeks now. Very nice texture. Feels and looks like a high quality matte desktop monitor. And like a desktop monitor, it's surprisingly smooth, much smoother than a matte plastic screen protector. Feels similar in smoothness to the nano-texture ipads too, though i personally prefer the aesthetics on this screen protector. Texture-wise, drawing and writing on it is very pleasant, similar in texture to high end pen displays. Clarity through it is also very good (much better than matte plastic screen protectors). The clarity and texture are comparable to wacom cintiq pros I've used in the past, and imo the glass quality here is better than low to midrange drawing displays. If you like heavy texture though, you won't find it here. Very noticeable amounts of line wobble when using the apple pencil and drawing diagonally (even when drawing fast). Turning up stability and motion filtering helps some, but unless you draw strokes medium to fast, it won't knock out the wobble unless you turn stabilization up very high. Not an issue for me personally, but it's something to keep in mind if you draw lines slowly. Also, the installation frame was several millimeters too small for the screen protector, so I had to freehand it. Again, not an issue for me (I've installed many many screen protectors before), but could cause problems to someone newer. The bonus camera lens protector covers that came in the box were less than stellar, and don't have the black anti-glare rings that lens protectors usually have. The holes on them didn't line up great with the sensors either (skewed by a couple mm). Doesn't factor into my score though because they aren't the main attraction. I can't give half scores on here, but if I could I'd give this a 4.5/5 with an asterisk. The quality of the matte glass was well beyond what I expected and that makes up for a lot of the other shortcomings. If you just want your ipad to look like a matte desktop monitor, this is far superior to all the other matte and paperfeel protectors. And if you draw, make sure your drawing style can handle some extra stabilization. ... show more

    • Smooth matte screen protector
Installed this on my iPad Pro last week. I’ve had the same brand matte protector on my iPad Mini for several months, and expect this one to hold up just as well. Either size, it’s as good as you’re likely to get for controlling reflections. The surface feels smooth to the touch, not sticky like the plain glass, and it doesn’t show hand oils. Don’t expect a “paper like” feel with the Apple Pencil, though, ‘cause this is too smooth. To my eyes, screen contrast is almost the same as with the plain glass, so that’s a plus. I took off one star for the difficult installation. There’s an install frame supplied, but it’s awkward to get the protector film in place correctly. Also, both supplied films both had a pair of tiny flaws, located in the same places. Thought it was dust, when I installed the first one, but second one was the same. Anyway, the flaws aren’t distracting and I’m happy with this screen protector. Recommended. ... show more

I've used these screen proectors on my last 3 iPads as well as the two my daughter has (she's 10 and very messy/rough with the iPad). They've worked great the entire time. There is zero glare, is easy to install, provides a smooth surface with good feedback and is easy to clean.     • Good glass, easily the worst installation process
This is without a doubt the worst installation process I’ve ever had the experience of doing. The worst. It’s good glass but frankly not worth it because of how prone it is to dust. Absolutely awful and the company that produces it needs to rethink their product.

This is my 2nd time outfitting an iPad with a Mothca Matte protector. I've tried several different brands of "paper feel" plastic protectors and compared to this they are just too rough, especially on my fingers. The Mothca screen has a wonderfully silky smooth feel to it. It doesn't offer quite the same paper-feel experience with the pencil, but I still prefer it over the naked screen. There is very minimal screen distortion and it is totally unnoticeable unless you have the screen very close to your face. I'm glad I got the 2 pack as my alignment was slightly off on my first attempt and repositioning it introduced too much dust. The 2nd attempt went on perfectly. If you get any small air bubbles, work them down as small as you can and push them close to the edge with a cloth or similar. As long as there isn't any dust in the tiny bubbles, they should disappear overnight. ... show more
