*** NEW UPDATE!*** If you have mice - BUY THESE!👍 We had to disconnect our dryer while waiting for our new dryer to arrive and discovered mice were coming in through the disconnected dryer hose. In less than 24 hrs, we've caught 3 mice with this crazy - humane- trap! Could not be more pleased! Important for people to know that these are NOT suitable for RATS - rats will easily push the end out and escape. For little field mice - this is ideal! I've shared a photo of one I caught just 10 min ago - and how he's pushing the end open just a bit. This could be deadly for a mouse left in this trap too long - so be sure to check the trap(s) OFTEN. From here on out, I'll put a bit of tape over the end "seam" that I can easily remove after catching a mouse before releasing it - just to be safe. **UPDATED** I placed this trap inside a kitchen cabinet, where we had heard faint sounds of scratching & nibbling coming from behind the dishwasher. The trap had been there several days with no mouse - so we figured the mouse must have moved on (I saw it dash through an open patio door one day). But tonight - we heard a sound under the sink. Went to investigate - and voila! We have our mouse! The trap worked GREAT! I took it outside to an area that backs up to a park - and easily released it. ** Point the end you open AWAY from you - lift the end cap "UP" - and watch as the mouse runs off. So easy. SO humane. I guess I'll forgive Amazon for sending me an opened/used product. Highly recommend! *For reviews stating the mouse/mice died - if its head was caught in the spring loaded trap door - that's because you DID NOT put the food back far enough!!!! The food must be ALL THE WAY to the end - by the end you open to release the mouse!!! If they had time to turn around to try to get out - that's because the food was NOT at the end! This is NOT suitable for rats!!!!! NOT FOR RATS! Rats are TOO large and can probably easily eat through the plastic. For those of you rolling your eyes at humane trapping - mice perform a vital function in the wild. They forage for bugs, and keep bug populations in control, and then they are a food source for our raptors, snakes & other creatures who also perform vial functions for wildlife habitats. Poisons, sticky traps, and "snap" traps are not only inhumane, but they cause great harm for unintended victims including small children, pets and wildlife. Please choose to be kind.

These worked well. Caught over 20 mice with these. On some of the traps, the door gets a little hard to catch to keep it open. Have to fiddle around with it a bit and sometimes adjust the position or weight of the bait. Did occasionally have issues with mice getting their tail caught in the door and it chopped off the tail of a couple.

These Actually work .. I know it sounds silly but these are actually the better mouse trap, You can catch and release. I was able to clean these in the dish washer and they are reusable - Don't get me wrong the good old mouse trap have always been the go to and work most of the time (the smart mouse can take the bait with out setting it off sometimes ) but the old style can also be cruel and not kill the mouse instantly. This style are a much better alternative and as I said you can just take tapped mouse to a field and release them.

I have to admit I was very skeptical whether these traps would actually work, but I did order them and try them out and lo and behold they do work I caught 2 mice!! Very easy to use very easy to release mouse back out into the wild!! However, one of my traps, the spring trap door is broken and won’t stay down but other than that, im very happy with the product. I’m rating 4 stars out of 5 only because one trap is not functional.

Product is fantastic. I filled the back with peanut butter. Both traps had caught something within 12 hours. Easy to pull off the back and slide the mouse out without causing any harm. Would definitely recommend over a traditional trap.

OMG. Tried a couple of times and the trap kept closing. I realized I had to much weight on the platform. Changed to less wait. Zowee. Their that little critter was in the morning. We brought him to a new part of the neighborhood and hoped his GPS wasn't working. Will continue. Had high hopes and they were fulfilled.

If you are not going to check these multiple times a day, do not get them. You aren't sparing any little critters any trauma if you don't check them often. Mice are adorable and it's a bummer that they leave little piddle trails everywhere they go and eat everything and are... well, gross, but we can't share space with them. Traps are sad, but at least they are quick and spare them any drawn out pain or fear. Letting them go is, in theory, sweet, but who knows what happens to them when you do. I like to think they go full Secret of Nim and remember the mercy for when the uprising comes, so I would prefer to catch and release them over anything else. UNFORTUNATELY, these traps are little and plexiglass. That means there is room for one mouse to essentially be trapped with it's own pee and poop and panic and hot little mouse breath inside for however long until you find it. I check them at least twice a day and they've caught several little dudes who we released into an abandoned barn in the back of our property to live their best lives or get eaten or whatever, but when I tell you they looked rode hard and put up wet I am not joking. Just in the few hours they spent in these they were soaking wet, covered in their own tee-tee and whatnot, and absolutely terrified and exhausted. I fully expect to be met by a mouse army come spring and pray I'm given the opportunity to explain myself before I get blood eagled on the TV Antenna as a warning to the rest of you. This isn't better, guys. It's super sad. Use snap traps, batten your house up tight, and hope for the best. If you are going with catch and release, please get something bigger or just consider this review and find something that maybe doesn't confine them in the scary humid pookie tube until you find them and PLEASE do not leave them more than a few hours if you care at all to be humane. We don't need GusGus croaking under the cabinet because you wanted to binge watch 30 Rock AGAIN.

We have a big, old house and seasonally set traps if we hear/see any evidence of mice. Practice opening and setting a few times before you've got a little friend to deal with. We've had a pretty good success rate of using cheese crackers or peanut butter filled crackers as bait. Peanut butter itself is just not worth cleaning out. There was one poor little baby who got his nose completely stuck in one of the air holes. Nothing worked to push or gently pull it out so ended up disassembling whole trap and very carefully breaking plastic with pliers. He went to wildlife rehab for some TLC :( Make sure you are checking trap often!
