*** NEW UPDATE!*** If you have mice - BUY THESE!👍 We had to disconnect our dryer while waiting for our new dryer to arrive and discovered mice were coming in through the disconnected dryer hose. In less than 24 hrs, we've caught 3 mice with this crazy - humane- trap! Could not be more pleased! Important for people to know that these are NOT suitable for RATS - rats will easily push the end out and escape. For little field mice - this is ideal! I've shared a photo of one I caught just 10 min ago - and how he's pushing the end open just a bit. This could be deadly for a mouse left in this trap too long - so be sure to check the trap(s) OFTEN. From here on out, I'll put a bit of tape over the end "seam" that I can easily remove after catching a mouse before releasing it - just to be safe. **UPDATED** I placed this trap inside a kitchen cabinet, where we had heard faint sounds of scratching & nibbling coming from behind the dishwasher. The trap had been there several days with no mouse - so we figured the mouse must have moved on (I saw it dash through an open patio door one day). But tonight - we heard a sound under the sink. Went to investigate - and voila! We have our mouse! The trap worked GREAT! I took it outside to an area that backs up to a park - and easily released it. ** Point the end you open AWAY from you - lift the end cap "UP" - and watch as the mouse runs off. So easy. SO humane. I guess I'll forgive Amazon for sending me an opened/used product. Highly recommend! *For reviews stating the mouse/mice died - if its head was caught in the spring loaded trap door - that's because you DID NOT put the food back far enough!!!! The food must be ALL THE WAY to the end - by the end you open to release the mouse!!! If they had time to turn around to try to get out - that's because the food was NOT at the end! This is NOT suitable for rats!!!!! NOT FOR RATS! Rats are TOO large and can probably easily eat through the plastic. For those of you rolling your eyes at humane trapping - mice perform a vital function in the wild. They forage for bugs, and keep bug populations in control, and then they are a food source for our raptors, snakes & other creatures who also perform vial functions for wildlife habitats. Poisons, sticky traps, and "snap" traps are not only inhumane, but they cause great harm for unintended victims including small children, pets and wildlife. Please choose to be kind.

These worked well. Caught over 20 mice with these. On some of the traps, the door gets a little hard to catch to keep it open. Have to fiddle around with it a bit and sometimes adjust the position or weight of the bait. Did occasionally have issues with mice getting their tail caught in the door and it chopped off the tail of a couple.

These Actually work .. I know it sounds silly but these are actually the better mouse trap, You can catch and release. I was able to clean these in the dish washer and they are reusable - Don't get me wrong the good old mouse trap have always been the go to and work most of the time (the smart mouse can take the bait with out setting it off sometimes ) but the old style can also be cruel and not kill the mouse instantly. This style are a much better alternative and as I said you can just take tapped mouse to a field and release them.

I have to admit I was very skeptical whether these traps would actually work, but I did order them and try them out and lo and behold they do work I caught 2 mice!! Very easy to use very easy to release mouse back out into the wild!! However, one of my traps, the spring trap door is broken and won’t stay down but other than that, im very happy with the product. I’m rating 4 stars out of 5 only because one trap is not functional.

Perfect. Caught it a few hours after setting them up. Used peanut butter and cheese for bait. I wish they were a little longer because my mouse’s tail got caught but also because I think there’s another much bigger mouse. But overall I’m super satisfied and happy and relieved after purchasing this product.

these are just the coolest traps, omgosh 🩷 its so sweet to release the mice and watch them hop away into the sunset... I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing them set free :) they work so good! we caught three little mickey mouses in about 24 hours and no more since then, so I think we got them all! but i will definitely be keeping these incase another unexpected house guest shows up again 🩷🙏🏻 never going back to the cruel, sticky traps! one little mouse did get its tail caught in the door, but it doesnt slam shut hard enough to cause any harm... just probably uncomfortable for the mouse. he seemed perfectly fine tho when we released him! bless his little heart. again, I just love these!

OK, I love the small size and ease to arm this mouse trap. Plus the price is unbeatable. It would cost more for one Hav-A-Hart than it does for 4 of these. And I'm still not sure it is worth the money. My girlfriend and I each have our own homes in the country. Together in the two weeks we have had 10 of these traps we have caught about 20 mice. When new they are easy to use. Once they are soiled, if the inevitable mouse pellets fall into the right spot, it makes it impossible to arm the trap again. Cleaning the trap is messy, tedious and and counter to what you really want. Since mice follow scent trails and are very social they love to go into traps that smell like other mice have been there recently. My Hav-A-Hart traps I no longer bait since they have the scent inside them. Since these sometimes have to be cleaned they need to be rebaited too. And getting the poo out of the spot it needs to come out of is a bit of a chore. Another problem is escapees. One of our guests broke out by chewing a hole he could get out by. This to me seems to be the bigger possible problem. Mice who break out and destroy the trap. We have 10 traps and have caught 20 mice in about 2 weeks. We only have one destroyed trap. In 20 weeks we can expect to have none but maybe it won't work like that. Right now it is hard to say. I do know that with Hav-A-Hart no visitor has escaped or destroyed one of my traps. I wish the mouse motel was more mouse-proof. I'm guessing if you have a limited infestation these are fine. For more regular use the jury is out. I will report back when I know more. For now these seem OK, but not great. OK...A Second mouse chewed its way out This time through the roof. Thats 20% of our traps ruined in just 2 weeks. Yipes.

The first time I tried these, I set them up on both ends of a long kitchen counter, and walked out to the living room. Within about a minute or two I heard a sound, walked into the kitchen and there was Mouse Friend. We chatted a bit, then went for a walk outside, where I dropped MF off in a nice field. He stepped out, turned to thank me, and headed off to tell his friends to come visit me soon. But here's where the story takes an unusual turn: A friend of his came by the next day, and after a nice visit I dropped her off at a great spot by the Charles River. I stood watching her scamper toward the riverbank, and suddenly a large hawk from a tree behind me swooped right past and grabbed her, taking her up to a nearby tree branch. He was probably worried about her falling into the water. Sticky traps are torture, and the neck-breaker traps are brutal. These humane traps are the way to go, and they're reusable as well as easy to clean! If you love animals (and how can you not love heroic lifeguard hawks!?) you'll appreciate these traps!
