What can I say... I really like diving into the obscure post-apocalyptic movies. I loved it though. Hugo Weaving is masterfully once again playing the antagonist villain, not really at first but does go headlong believing what he was doing was for the greater good. Worth a watch for another post apocalyptic setting. Always moving along, literally so ya don't fall asleep. Story line is there, and the evil white government is again trying to destroy the planet and kill everyone else that doesn't belong. All the misfits, POC, poor ppl, and disabled folks have to band together to kill the British Empire. seen this several times on TV as well. If your bored or nada to do then it's worth a watch. If you need to put air in your tires then it can wait no problem. Not kid friendly unless murder and slavery is cool for your kids. ... show more

Love Mortal Engines! Great story and actors/ actresses! If you enjoy Steampunk and mechanical things, you'll love this movie. My husband and I watch it every six months or so.

The failure of this movie at the box office and the bad reviews are not unwarranted. However, I found the world-building interesting, the visuals often astonishing, and the story cohesive enough. The acting leads aren't great, but many of the side characters are compelling. I was entertained by this movie, and am a touch sad they didn't quite land the plane on this one, because I think this could have made an interesting series. ... show more
