This dip powder nail kit is SOLID, especially the drill! My friend, who’s been a professional nail tech for over five years, taught me how to use it, and I’ve been loving it ever since. What I Love: The Drill: According to my nail tech friend, the drill is surprisingly decent for the price. She did mention that the metal bits aren’t super useful. She recommended the plastic bit (outside of the little pack) as it works much better for shaping and prepping. She also liked that it came with sandpaper bits, which are always handy. Extras: The kit includes numbered bottles (activator, top coat, etc.), extra brushes, and a brush cleaner, which is so convenient! The variety of dip powder colors is great, too. Beginner-Friendly: With a little guidance, this kit is perfect for amateurs looking to save money and do their nails at home. Room for Improvement: Packaging Issues: I had to return my first kit because the charger was broken and one of the dip powders spilled. Even with the replacement, some jars had leaked, so they definitely need better packaging. Dip Jar Size: The jars are pretty small, so you’ll go through them quickly. It’s disappointing that some were already partially spilled or not full when they arrived. Instructions: The included guide could use more detail. UPDATE: I could not get a smooth glossy finish with any top coats I have so I bought a cheap UV light and gel top coat and WOW. The gloss is on point. Definitely recommend getting that to get that really sleek professional look! I’m on my 3rd set of this dip polish on my hands now and will not be returning to a salon. It’s getting easier and faster and has looked even better each time I’ve done it. This is one of the best purchases I’ve made, I’m thrilled. I’ve been going to a salon for dip polish so I’ve seen how professionals do it and decided I’d give it a shot on my own. I’m really really pleased with this! It came with everything pictured, as well as a white color and a clear base that I wasn’t expecting. There is a learning curve (clearly! You can see mine is a little messy, I got stuff all over my hands haha but I’m sure it’ll come off with my next shower). I agree with the other reviews that state the top coat isn’t the best, but it’s not the worst I’ve used either. Dry time was insanely quick, no UV light needed. Very even coverage, opaque as well. I’m curious to see how long it lasts for and will update my review in the event I get less than two weeks of chip free wear from this :) if there’s no update, you can trust it held up well!

Whether sticking exactly to the instructions or trying to add additional dip layers to thicken the nail, for some reason my nails do not last any longer than a week MAX. I apply the dip, polish it up, my nails look great! BUT within 24-48hrs multiple nails will start to chip and then I have to take everything off and start over. I don’t know if it’s the quality of the product within this kit OR if there is something I’m missing. Having to apply and reapply frequently is doing more damage to my nails. My goal was really to only have to do my nails once every 2-3weeks. I’m having to change it out weekly or remove every few days. Sorry but this isn’t worth it longterm.

I cannot say a lot about their colors except they were not quite what I was looking for on some of them once they were down. This is not a negative on the product itself, I have use its base and activator and it has held the product on my nails very will. I bought several different kits and I am trying the bases and activators because that is what actually keeps the product to the nail and I have had some that are not so great. I will say that the silver glitter in my red nails is their product and it was great, I plan on buying a larger size of it. The Dremel tool that is included is really nice but it’s not cordless, if I remember right, I have other ones. I personally didn’t really use the dremel except for around my critical area I tend to make them bleed with a file if I have been messy at painting on the base. This is a great for a beginner.

This kit is junk. The cutter tool that came with it broke the first time I tried to use it. I could never get an even coverage with the powder no matter if I dipped, poured over or tapped on using a brush. To make matters worse, when I tried to brush excess off, it messed up the layer of dip. I tried the brissel method, the brush off method and neither worked regardless of how long I let it dry before brushing off excess. I even bought special brushes that wrre softer and not as firm, with no luck. So, I never got a full manicure because I couldn't get one nail completely done without it looking like a hot mess. Unfortunately, due to my disability and a family death, I wasn't able to try this a few different ways and still have time to get it returned in the allowed window from Amazon. It's just a complete waste of time and money...especially after buying other tools and the remover product just trying to get a single nail to look right, let alone a full manicure. I could've gotten my nails professionally a couple of times when all was said and done. And I've done acrylic and gel nails at home many, MANY times. So, it's not like I'm a complete beginner.

I'm used to getting my nails dipped at a nail salon but just got tired of trying to find time to go. Nothing worse than when your polish starts to lift and every piece of hair gets caught up so I decided to try this kit just out of convenience. I've tried paying attention to my tech and she dips my nails at least 3 times. I watched a few youtube videos and gave it a shot. It actually turned out decent. The kit is great, has everything you need but the powder containers are so tiny when you dip the powder comes out. Pros- kit has everything you need. My nails are just as hard as the salons so I'm very pleased. The only draw back is the color doesn't appear as shiny but that could be bc I buffed. It was my first attempt and it came out decent. I would recommend.
