I did wash them on a gentle cycle and then laid them out to dry . They washed great and dried just fine. Per other reviews. I would not put these in the dryer. They are just as soft after washing them as when I first purchased them. They are great quality, and not too thick to create a tripping hazard, perfect thickness. I bought this to replace a bedside runner that was very thick pile and too much for our new lightweight vacuum to handle. This caught my eye because of the unusual pattern and multiple colors. It is a perfect pile for our new vacuum, low but very soft underfoot, and the pattern and colors are striking although somewhat more muted than shown in the photos online. I wish that it had been one foot longer, but it didn't come in that size, so it is somewhat shorter than hoped for. But overall, I am happy with it. I purchased two rugs. They look great. One is in the kitchen and one is in the entryway. Since I live in the midwest in winter, it didn’t take long before the rug needed washed (1-2 weeks), so I threw it in the washing machine as I knew it was washable when I bought it, or I wouldn’t have bought it. The stains came out well but the seams came apart in the washing machine. I went ahead and put it in the dryer. I read the description and it states to hang it dry so that’s on me. I gave the lower review as it isn’t as think as one I had from Kohl’s for a similar price or as big and that it can’t be dried. I can’t imagine how long it would take to dry and be without a rug. I would have snow and salt grime all through my kitchen and dining room without a rug there. So it looks pretty, is soft, but is lacking in durability. I am going to attempt to hot glue the edges as I am not up for cost of replacing it at this time. I also got it on a limited deal and it is no longer that price. ... show more
