Ok I usually don’t write reviews. I have been trying to find a healthy curly hair routine. I have bought more products than I want to admit. Tried this for the first time today. OMG! Defined my curls, held them all day and soft. Most curly hair products make my hair feel heavy or dirty feeling. These products did not. This product will likely be the last one I use. For 42 years I couldn’t find the perfect product that really helped my curls. I’ve used this product for over a year and can never go back to any other product. It’s very light, doesn’t leave a cast, not flaky, but produces great curls and holds all day. Love this product. Mop top was recommended to me by my stylist. I recently stared wearing my hair natural and she used this MopTop gel on my hair when she cut and styled me the first time. I am African American with shoulder length fine hair. It made my curls shiny, relaxed, and defined. Product does not flake or make my hair dry. The trick is to apply the gel while hair is sopping , dripping, wet.

this gel does smell good and I do like the hold it provides. There is no flaking and once it is dry it is very soft. My big complaint is that it is so thick it takes FOREVER to dry. I don't know if its just my hair - but it just clumps on and takes FOREVER to dry. I have to wait until the next day to have hair that doesn't look wet. Once the bottle was 2/3 empty I added water - about 50/50 - and it is much better. My hair actually looks dry the same day. I am still on the fence if I am going to purchase this again

Wow! Is what I said the 1st time I used this gel. I use this on top of curl junkie curls in a bottle and it gives me the best curls I have ever had! Shiny, bouncy, soft, frizz free curls! I love this! I have long hair to my lower back and a mixture of 3a/3b curls. I found my perfect hair combo and will always repurchase these products. Love, love, LOVE! I only use about a quarter size on each side of my hair (keep in mind its long) and I apply it by scrunching it in and it works like a charm. I don't need much, thanks to curls in a bottle. This gel does leave a lil bit of crunch, but when its all dry (I air dry) just scrunch it out and you'll have soft shiny curls ;-)

This does not hold curls, and it flakes horribly. I purchased as a replacement for trepadora curling gel, and in no way is this a similar replacement. Feels like cheap lotion.
