I was looking for a small sofa bed, or futon for my new apartment I bought a cheap one but it was awful, seating are is small, the back are also small and don't stay in place Then I had this one on my list for weeks, until finally I got it, in the peach color as it had a discounted price It's beautiful and well made. Very comfortable and easy to put it together The only shortcomings I see for now - I received it today - are the legs and the brackets All legs are made of hard plastic imitating wood. I wish they were metal Also, the two middle legs are the ones with brackets to keep both halves together. It's a bad idea to use plastic for that At least the middle legs should be metal or have a metal bracket insert Any vertical move of the sofa halves will put all stress on those plastic brackets and they are not rigid enough The legs could be made of a harder, better and reinforced plastic My solution for now was to use the metal brackets intended for the arms as elements to keep the halves together The metal brackets luckily have the exact same measurements as of the middle legs brackets, so I use them together, under each middle leg, I screwed the metal brackets in a sandwich fashion To be honest, I don't know why the arms have brackets, as the idea to easy remove the arms is one of the things that made me buy this unit The sofa became way more stable As final thought, if this unit was a single pice, it would be a perfect small sofa bed Plus, metal legs! ... show more

Update to review below: I was having trouble getting one side of the backrest to fold down and was making a video to send to the manufacturer per their request so that they could advise me, and voila...as I was making the video the side in question folded down:-D It still doesn't do it easily each time, but at least I know that it will work. I love the fabric, I think the firmness is just right (not too firm but it feels like it's going to hold up for a while), and it looks great in my living room. Very stylish and comfortable. I really want to love this sofa/futon, and it's just what I wanted in almost every respect, but I can't get the left-hand back to lay down. I had trouble with this when I first assembled it but tried a bit and it worked, but not it just won't go back beyond the full upright position. The other side works fine. Because it was quite heavy and diffiult to get up into my apartment (I'm only 4'10" and 100 lbs and had to get it up a flight of stairs because the Amazon deliver person left it on the ground floor) there's no way I'm going to disassemble it and try to return it - too much work. It functions great as a sofa but is useless to me as a futon. ... show more

Buying a futon online can be somewhat nerve racking; buying one on Amazon can be downright terrifying. With that said, we did lots of comparing all over and now feel extremely silly for waiting on making this purchase for so long. To start with the color is gorgeous and exactly as shown, which is excellent as it will fit in perfectly with our decor. Assembly took all of 20 minutes maybe, and by minute 21 my animals were enthusiastically exploring the comfort, which is also surprisingly pleasant. It’s firm but not too much so, and the fabric just feels expensive you know? Size wise it’s perfect - our place isn’t the largest apartment and this doesn’t overwhelm the space yet can easily seat 3 people no problem. It also easily collapses for sleeping and we’re looking forward to having extra guests over now that they have somewhere to crash. All in all super pleased and will certainly be entertaining further purchases from the brand. You just cannot beat the quality and price. ... show more

The sofa looked very good quality and I bought it. I also bought one for my friend, not knowing that it would be requiring a lot more help to put together. I’m disabled and retired and it was hard for me to put the sofa together, but I did and then to find that it is not as comfortable Was very sad. I tried to return it, and they told me that I would have to ship it in the original box take it to UPS and pay for my own shipping because it’s third-party.- I’m disabled and I cannot carry anything and I’m stuck with two of these uncomfortable sofas ... show more

    • WHY NO FABRIC ON THE BACK?

I wanted to give this a five star rating. I got it out of the box and loved the color (I went orange to balance with my beige/gold/light blue decor). It felts velvet soft. It was incredibly easy to assemble (you NEED two people to flip it a few times, but otherwise one person can do it in a matter of minutes). It's not heavy, two people are just required to keep it stable. It's the right size for my studio apartment space. But here is where the quality is lacking. But here is why I could not give it a five star rating - the back of it is black. They did not put the orange fabric on the back of the couch. So when it is not a sofa bed but a couch, it just looks UGLY. Not everyone puts their couch against a wall. I am so incredibly disappointed by this aspect. It would be a perfect couch (futon) for my needs otherwise. Make sure that if you plan to not put it against a wall you consider this fact, because it will disrupt the look of your entire room. Moving forward I hope Mopio takes this into account and fixes future products. Again, I really feel like this could be 5 star perfection if they had just considered this. Now I likely have to purchase a low storage bookshelf to try to cover/hide the ugly black back of this thing. ... show more

I love this couch! It’s in my home office and is just enough. It took me 1 hour to set up by myself. It comes in 2 large boxes- I would recommend to get a friend to help you assemble it and tip it over especially to get the legs on. But if you’re okay with flying solo you can do this yourself- just be careful. It’s cozy. It’s not the fluffiest, so if you’re looking for a plush pillow-like couch - nope. It’s enough to stretch out and read. Your buns are comfortable. Your back is stable. It also is enough room for anyone 5 foot 7. Anyone taller you are gonna hate it. Also it sits low. Like super low. I didn’t like that at first but I gave it a day or two to grow on me. I love the height now. The color pops - it’s a soft tangerine not electric orange. Get some pillows and add a knit blanket and boom - it’s cute. I don’t recommend it for small children. If they like to jump and hop they are going to kill your couch. Get something sturdier for those little jumping beans! Otherwise I love it! ... show more

Great couch! I got this for a home office space and it looks great. The cushions are firm which is great in terms of longevity but if using as a bed would recommend getting a small mattress pad to help with comfort. Did panic a little at delivery thinking I was missing arms and legs (they are located under the seat pieces zipped up nice and secure.)
