I got this to use on my old Atlas 12 " lathe. The original 4 jaw is way too big for small stuff. I have a three jaw that I use mostly, but I need something to hold small irregular pieces. This fits my needs fine. I found a backplate on EBAY that just happened to fit PERFECTLY after I received it. Took a fine face cut to insure no run-out. It's typical Chinese quality, But it serves my purpose. Don't recommend for fine precision jobs though. ... show more

I found the 8.0x1.25 mounting bolts to be Allen bolts instead of allen studs and nuts. Bolts will not work. One had to buy 40 mm long mm bolts and cut them to fit.

Having a 4-jaw chuck is critical for the lathe work I do, which uses mostly square or rectangular stock. Completely happy with this chuck. My only compliant is that the bolts included are too long to install in my Vevor mini-lathe. If I cut them down short enough to install, they are too short to hold the chuck. Not a big deal to use the 3 original studs, but the chuck has a four-hole pattern so I will have to make a fourth stud. ... show more

When I saw "SANOU" etched into the Lathe Chuck in the VEVOR Listing I knew that I would be getting a Quality Work Piece. What arrived on my doorstep was not marked SANOU in any manner, the chuck Key falls apart in hand, the tight tolerances you expect from "SANOU Manufacturing" were not present in this Dud of a Chuck by any means. In my Honest opinion, this is a "B" Line Rejected Chuck from the "A" Line of an "unknown manufacturer" that VEVOR is marketing as High Quality "Genuine SANOU". I will be closely inspecting anything affiliated with the "VEVOR" Name going forward. I can't believe that VEVOR wasted my time and hard earned money by delivering a sub-standard 3rd Party product. This is the second one of these I have purchased. The first I purchased about the years ago when the COVID-19 pandemic first took the world by storm. That chuck only had a RUNOUT of 0.012, but a quick turning job got it qualified for high precision. This chick came packaged better, cleaner and looks like they spent more time building it to be the best it can be. I am very pleased especially with the price for such close tolerances.
