BUY IT. I definitely recommend this product. I never leave feedback on purchases but I feel that it is my duty as a guitar player because this thing rocks so hard. I spent a lot of time researching loopers with drum machines, with a strong focus on the quality of the drum machine. Some reasons to buy this pedal are because it... - has almost twice as many drum beats as all other combo looper/drum machine pedals (220 total), with 20 grooves per genre - Heavy Metal and Punk genres are my favorites :) - doesn't restrict the length of your recording per track (300 minutes total). - has this cool "progress bar/ring" feature that works its way around the display as you progress through the loop so you know when it will restart. - The record/replay/overdub process is ergonomic. - The "Standby record" works great (you press record and it waits for you to start playing to actually record) - It's quantize function works great, meaning that it will trim your loop so they match the exact amount of beats to allow the loop to mesh with itself or the following file. - While replaying a file, you can use the foot switches to select the next recording you want to play, and it will automatically play the file once the loop you are currently using ends. I love this feature! I don't know if all loopers work like this or not, but this is great because it allows you to save different files for every segment of a song and then play the song from beginning to end without any disruption between segments. - it comes with a power supply. Some of the drawbacks are: - There are not many 3/4 or 6/8 grooves. Like literally 1 of each per genre. Basically everything is 4/4. - The "Auto-Drum beat" is kinda lame. The beats it picks are hit-or-miss, although a firmware update may improve this feature. - The housing is plastic, although it does still feel pretty tough. - If you are recording with a drum beat and screw up the take, you have the reset the BPM of the drum beat before you can record another take. This is a pain because you have to bend over and push a couple buttons with you fingers. However, if you are ok with just winging it and you are not trying to be super-precise with the BPM then you can use the foot-switches to setup a 'tap tempo' to reset the tempo to avoid this problem.     • Feature Rich and great sounding drum grooves!

I wish I could’ve given this five stars because it records great and has an amazing feature set. If you study the manual online in depth, it has many more features that would be apparent. It’s actually possible to scroll up and down so if you have stored many loops, you can access them relatively easily with the 2 foot switches. Also, being able to assign a separate output for the rhythm. Sounds solves many problems. The issue is, noise. I am using this with a battery operated power supply that runs a few other petals on a very small, hit and run pedal board. It worked perfectly using my Digitech jam man solo HD as well as the older version. No issues with noise or chatter, but not with the Mooer. It produces a fairly loud pulsing noise while in standby. Because of this, I don’t think I’m gonna use it although it’s too late to return it. I must say the drum sounds are far and above most other products and are extremely well recorded. They sound real and are not overdone. There is enough color to them where they are not boring, but they are not so busy as to get in the way and become fatiguing to listen to. The loops also have excellent sound quality. The fact that it’s made out of plastic is a little offputting, but I think that’s what’s keeping the price down to such a reasonable price point. Except for the plastic enclosure, this looper is as good as any I've tried at 3 times the price. Maybe better. It's interesting to see the extreme differences in opinions about this pedal. Many say the drums are the among the best they've heard, other say they are the worst. Some complain of tone-suck or distortion. I didn't have any issue in these areas. The drums are 24 bit and sound good, not as busy as other drum machines I've used. It is however a somewhat finicky looper and takes considerable practice to get used to it. A lot of functions are packed into just a few controls, and it can be difficult to remember where some settings are. Also, if you are not used to pressing two footswitches at once it will take some getting used to. ... show more

    • Doesn't work all the time

This was cool at first, but after about a couple of hours the screen turned black, and it wouldn't do anything. I unplug the power and plug it back in, it would do the started up screen then black again. Then the next day it started to work again. It does this all the time, so I never know when it will work. If anyone knows how to fix this or how to do a hard reset let me know. It's a cool pedal when it works, the sounds quality isn't that great but, that's ok ... show more

Looks to be a good deal for people who use it for practice, but to clunky to use live. As one other reviewer stated "Difficult to use if you’re used to a normal looper pedal, can’t make a clean loop with no gaps unless you use the built in drums and if you don’t there is a count in when you first hit the record switch that can’t be turned off so you can’t record as soon as you hit the switch" I hate you can't turn off the click in and the length of the loop is determined by the BPM, so impossible to get good loop points unless you play to the BPM. I don't want to have to adjust the BPM for every song. The drums are good sounding but too busy, not enough straight beats. That all said this would be good for practice but not live. ... show more

This is an awesome looper and has quickly become one of my favorite pedals. The drum sounds are surprisingly good and make practicing and jamming a lot more fun. It’s very easy to use, even without digging deep into the manual. I love having so many open slots to record different loops, and the fact that they save automatically is a huge plus. Being able to plug my guitar into one input and my bass into another, then send them to separate amps, is incredibly convenient. This pedal has the highest quality software of any looper I know of on the market. The specs of this device are top notch! The screen is beautiful, although I wish it were recessed to avoid easy scratches that I'm sure would come with prolonged use. Unfortunately, despite having the best feature list on the market, I have to return mine for the following two reasons: 1) It has a high noise floor, in that even with no input it is still outputting a fair bit of white noise even using the supplied power adapter. 2) The "Record" switch has started intermittently not working just one week into use. This is the BIG reason I sadly need to return it. I was willing to live with the white noise since it is only at high volume and this looper was mainly bought to use for practice. The device itself seems really well thought out and built, especially given the plastic chassis which I must say does feel strong enough to be okay. I do feel that I could have gotten unlucky with one that has more noise than normal and a faulty switch but I can only review the one I received. NOTE ON A LOT OF THE OTHER REVIEWS: many of the reviews mention there are a lot of settings and features that aren't in the manual. I don't understand why it wasn't included with the boxes as a printed manual, but the Mooer website does have a much larger and extensive manual for the pedal that is critical in my opinion. I am fairly certain this pedal would have been received better with that in the box. ... show more

I feel this looper is easy to use and has helped a very poor and musically illiterate guitar player become better and have fun doing so. After about 5 months it stopped working. The connection from the adapter into the GL100 broke. I contacted Mooer through the email sent for instructions (keep it!) I explained my issue and received a prompt response and willingness to replace my GL100 with a new one. I provided Mooer a shipping address as was requested and two days later was told it would ship ASAP. Five days later I had a new GL100 in my mailbox!
