This is a great tool for learning numbers and colors. The baskets are clearly labeled with the number of balls that are to go in each one, and the colors are nice and bright. The issue I have is that the balls get almost clogged up in the little right side where they travel up and down, and they never rest at the bottom. When you are teaching a child how to sort their colors and the wrong colors have no where to go instead of in the incorrect color bins due to this issue of getting clogged up, it can get frustrating, especially if they cannot get to another color without occasionally messing up their basket. Additionally, the magnet does not work unless it is completely flat against the plastic; and when it is against the plastic, it appears to scratch it so I’m not sure how long it will last until it wears enough that the magnet won’t work. ... show more

I was skeptical when my wife wanted to order this. It seems like a cool enough idea but I felt like there was no way it would really work to keep my children entertained. It may have been fun for older generations, but in the age of television and electronics it just seems so.... archaic. Well boy was I wrong. This is one of the hit items around the house, in fact many arguments have started over who gets to be the one to use it at any given time. I have been extremely surprised to see how much my children love playing with it. The build quality is good, we have a one year old and I am thankful there is no way to get the beads out. It is very strong in material so it is safe even for younger children. The magnetic moving of the items makes for hours of fun play as they just shuffle balls around in the housing unit. I recommend this if you are looking for something to keep your children entertained and don't want to have to resort to electronics. ... show more
