When I heard this year was going to be bad for slugs, I invested in this product. I started putting it down early in the season, and it worked perfectly. Any slugs I did find were small and sickly. I put it down about once a week or every 2 weeks to keep the population down. I wait till after it rains and there will be a dry spell. I like the fact that any pellets not consumed will be beneficial for the soil. Sprinkle it at dusk, as I think birds will peck it away, or chipmunks will take it during daylight. I bought this product in a smaller size and it worked great so I decided to buy it in a bigger size since at least once a year I get slugs and snails outside in the walls, I got it and Idk if the snails have developed a resistance to it now or what but it did nothing..

Easy to use and we appreciated this product's safety vs. typical poisons. It wiped out nearly all the snails this Spring in our ivy and flower gardens. We're in a moist area with a lot of overnight condensation three blocks uphill from the Pacific Ocean, so your results may vary.

This product helps keep the slugs off my hostas. Thank goodness for it. But I left the plastic container out in my back yard and the squirrels ate a whole in it to eat the sluggo. I hope they had a tummy ache.
