I am very happy with this stand. It is attractive (it happens to go well with the bookshelves in the room), and seems solid and sturdy. It was easy to assemble - but you have to pay careful attention to the directions; I made a mistake because I did not pay careful enough attention (but it was easy to undo and correct). I have downrated to 4 stars because the packaging was not secure: the outer box was coming apart and two of the legs were a little bit caved in; I had to use a hammer to make them round enough to fit. (Some other commenters have complained about dings in the shelves - I didn't have any, but any buyer should look carefully; the packaging is definitely not good enough.) ... show more

I give it 4 stars due to there not being a sufficient quantity of washers for the top and bottom of the posts. If there is value on providing enough for one side, then why not enough for the other? I went and purchased ones from a big box store, but I should have to. It's a huge oversight on the side of the manufacturer. ... show more
