The rolled up outer The outer edges were even protected with a very sturdy covering placed over the edges to protect the carpet edges. Very pretty periwinkle color. The rug is the exact look I was going for. It is very light in color --- almost tone-on-tone. It is a soft off-white and pale blue with a light brown as part of the border, and a tiny bit of palest cream/yellow. In person, it looks just like the picture I see online. It is just like one on the Pottery Barn website, but $200 cheaper in the largest size. The edge binding could have closer stitching--- mine has 2 or 3 loose threads at the edge. The pile is very short and could be more dense. It is a thin rug. It is not a plush rug, but I don't need that. It works great over a quality rug pad. It did not have a noticeable smell and flattened out quickly. I haven't had it long enough to know about stain resistance. ... show more

Bought this beautiful rug for my living rm, color was perfect but there were a lot of bad creases. After two weeks laid out on the floor they were still there. called Amazon was ref to manufacturer, the sales clerk nice and recommended I steam/iron the 9x12 rug! Was not easy to iron. It worked, creases gone. I wish I had ask for it to be “Rolled” not folded when being shipped. Per manufacture recommendation. I’ll know next time. Rug is not soft on bare feet, thicker pad is most definitely needed, quality good for the money. ... show more

There is a really overpowering smell that comes from this area rug. From the minute I opened the package I tried all the things, Fabreeze, vinegar, carpet powder, leaving it outside in the sun… nothing worked! Ended up trashing it and buying from somewhere else.

This rug is quite a beauty! I ordered the runner to go along the base of a queen size bed in my guest room. I can't get over how gorgeous it looks. The design and the shades of pink are classy and elegant-not at all juvenile looking. The rug is very thin at about 1/4" and I wish it were thicker but since I'm laying it over a carpeted room I can deal with that. I love this rug so much that I am going to order a full sized one for my living room in a different color. Buy it! ... show more
