I am rating this area rug as 3 stars because I really love the pattern and the carved design. The color is not the same as it appears on screen. The light portion is cream, (white with a hint of yellow). The darkest portion is as described "charcoal, other wise dusty black. The third color of gray to my surprise and slight disappointment was more of a strange gray/dark forest green. Lastly the shedding. It makes a terrible mess. fibers on the coffee table, in the couch, on the socks; daily vacuuming is a must. Over all I was able to make this work in my space, but be mindful this is not a black and white rug, and it sheds much more than the neat and tidy would prefer. In closing the rug is soft and 100% wool, fairly low pile, kind of heavy so it stays in place. The rug had a smell that dissipated after a month. I would love to give it four stars but I think that would mislead other consumers. Even with all said I would purchase it again. I actually have two. ... show more

I absolutely love this rug! It's well made and the colors and pattern are exactly what I needed for the room. I'm giving it a 4 because the bag that the rug was wrapped in (under several other layers of packaging) was damp for some reason and there are a couple of small spots on the cream part of the rug that I'm not sure I'll be able to get out. The spots are small enough that they don't take away from the rug or warrant returning it, but I wish they weren't there. ... show more

I have two dogs of which one has terrible skin allergies. A 100% wool rug was perfect for me (no dust mites in real wool). These are of very high quality. I have two great danes so this is my second rug (after several years of the two of them doing loop-de-loops on it)! I never looked elsewhere when I was ready to replace the first rug I bought! Great unique design! It looks good! It does shed as others have stated. I knew that from the reviews so, I was prepared to vacuum often. I vacuum weekly anyways so it’s no big deal. The shedding is not too bad, but it will need tending to.
