Expanded enough to sleep on within 30 minutes. 7 hours later it's at 13-13.5 inches out of 14 inches. Haven't slept on it yet but its really comfy. If you don't like memory foam you'll probably think it's hard. But imo it gives good supporting depth while feeling soft. And the foam rebounds very quick. So far I like it better than my old $1400 hybrid mattress I got at a mattress firm. So for $400-$450 for a 14 inch king, I couldn't be happier. Also, for foam with no additional edge support, if youre laid out you can be very very close to the edge and feel full support. Sitting on the edge is about what you'd expect but as long as my knees are at the top corner it feels like I'm sitting in the middle. As a sceptical buyer, it's a great mattress for the price! Edit after 2 nights of sleep: I work graveyard and am tired most of the time, while still struggling to sleep. I’ve had another similar mattress from a big box store, wanted to upgrade with my move and this is well worth the price. Mattress did not come with a smell and once out of the package it fluffed up quickly. It does not over heat, equally soft but not too soft where it says or so firm that you need to buy an additional topper. The reviews all say this, but it’s honestly true! The first few days I liked the feel but it was definitely a little stiffer than I liked. However, once it really aired out and we started using it, it became so incredibly comfortable. I sleep like a baby all night! I love the mattress but I feel like it's a little to firm for my liking. I'm keeping it as every night I sleep on it it does seem to conform to my body and doesn't feel as firm. As far as cooling? I haven't really noticed as of yet. All in all I am happy with the mattress.

This bed is very comfortable for a memory foam mattress. It expanded all the way in just 4 hours. The first night we slept on it our backs hurts which is probably understandable since it was the first time we both slept on a memory foam mattress in awhile. The second night it was so comfy!

We had a "cool gel" memory foam mattress that I loved. My husband, within three years, complained about lumpiness. We regularly spun the mattress. Time will tell whether this mattress is any better.

We bought this bed for our guest room but have been using it for the past 3 wks. I’ve never used a memory foam mattress before so I have nothing to compare it to but I am used to good mattresses. Our previous was a Stearns and Foster so that’s what I’m comparing it to. It is comfortable, absorbs motion so I don’t really notice when my husband rolls over. This bed has been fantastic. It is sturdy and comfortable. Between my husband and I we total out to about 550 pounds and that’s before our 40 pound dog. There hasn't been any decompression or stretching so far which is a major plus. My only complaint is if you have a pet the hair will embed itself into the top fabric.
