  • Works great
Color: Black
I was pleased that the keyboard was easy to set up following the simple instructions. I like the fact that it fits so neatly with the XBox controller and takes up much less space than an external keyboard. I am using the keyboard for entering data in MS flight simulator and finding it much easier to use for this than my flight controller.. ... show more

  • Essentially perfect
Color: Black
This thing is an absolute game changer and a must have for MMOs. I used to have the original OEM chatpad for 360 and resigned myself to not having one when MS never came out with one for current controllers. It didn't dawn on me until recently that the aftermarket would have a perfect replacement! I'm so glad to have one of these back on my controller. Good Compatibility - This fits the current Series X controller and the Elite 2! Even better is you can charge the Elite 2 in it's charging case with it on! My hats off to them, they really did their homework on this one. Backlighting - This is also a great feature that I wouldn't want to be without. Green was a good choice. It's not harsh, yet it's very bright. Bad or not so bad Fit - Not really a complaint but the fit is probably 99.8% It snaps in there, but there's the tiniest feeling flex or play in the fit. I'm really nitpicking though, as it's still very securely on. This is probably as good as it gets with aftermarket. Quality - If I remember right, the original 360 chatpad controller felt like it used much better plastics. As you'd expect, this one is pretty smooth (in contrast to the controller), and a bit light and cheap feeling. Buttons - The buttons are solid rubber with kind of a cheap calculator feel (no tactility). In contrast, the original chatpad did have a click feel when depressing buttons and each key was made of hard plastic. If you have any need to type in game, this is the one to buy. Until MS releases an OEM version, I think this is as good as it gets. It's very inexpensive and does everything it should. ... show more

  • Love the white back-light!
Color: White
Firstly, this item fits very snuggly without wobbling and requires a firm grip to remove from the controller. I Suppose as others have mentioned it isn’t a full feature keyboard due to the lack of special characters. Four stars because it needed rework but other than the green back light and missing characters I think it’s a great buy for the average gamer who doesn’t want to navigate the on screen QWERTY with the D-pad. It only comes with a green back-light which I thought was TOTALLY BOGUS. I mean the Xbox power button is white so WTHN have the rest be white also. Plus, the green isn’t appealing to me in the least. SO… I decided to upgrade the LEDs to white thus matching with the controller 100%. That was fun and it looks great. At first I thought it wasn’t going to be as bright but the more I replaced the brighter they became. ... show more

  • It DOES work
Color: Black
Okay, this is going to be long but only because there are some things to explain. So when I first got this it wouldn’t work for anything in this world. I tried to search for YouTube videos to see if I was doing something wrong. So when you get this keyboard there’s nothing wrong with it you have to do the following: When you plug it into your controller make sure it’s lined up perfectly with the holes to be placed in. The sides need to be clicked onto the remote itself and yes, it works for the Xbox one controller. So once you have it lined up push it in but make sure your fingers do not touch ANY button on the keyboard OR the actual controller. This will mess up the sync process and cause all of those malfunctions with the buttons pressing letters multiple times. Once you’ve properly inserted it then put your small USB adapter into the Xbox itself. Turn it on through the Xbox controller, you’ll see the green light turn on the keyboard, press the sync button on the keyboard while the adapter is in and that’s all. Your keyboard will work with no glitches, no dragged on letters, and no frustrations. It took me a day to get it to work properly now it’ll only take you a minute, you’re welcome :) ... show more

  • Cheap Buggy Junk
Color: Black
I would advise against buying this product. It does not work well at all. I've used chat pads in the past and have never faced issues like I have with this particular piece. It has some weird little quirks as well. - This chat pads uses a wireless USB receiver that plugs into your system, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the need for it puzzles me. I've used chat pads that don't require anything to be plugged into your console whatsoever. - Often times when I'm using this product the keys will either miss inputs, or repeat an input 4-7 times on a single tap of the key. - The chat will cause your game to crash, and even your console on occasion, if removed from the controller. - The chat pad is quite awkward to handle, I've been trying to use it off and on for a couple months and have yet to get used to it's shape. I understand that they are typically awkward to handle, but my previous chat pad had a shape that complemented the controller much better. This one a bulky/clunky feel to it. Overall, very bad product. I could ignore the awful shape if the thing would just function properly, but it doesn't even do that. I've been using this with both stock controllers and an Elite V2 controller and neither resulted in proper function. I hope this saves people some trouble. ... show more

  • Doesn't fit snugly
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. Works as intended, if you can get it on. Wiggles a bit. I like the green backlight. I won't put it on an elite remote in fear of damaging the remote trying to get it on. I'll be buying a different chatpad.
