I'm liking this keyboard attachment for the Xbox sX controller. It connects to my game controller and system with no problem. It's comfortable to use and I like that the backlight for the keys can be toggled on and off. The only issue I've come across is if I rest the palms of my hands on it while gaming it messes with the physical connection and will cause the game (or video if your watching one) to pause and glitch. So try not to do that! Otherwise it works fine for me. It makes type searching on the X/sX so much easier! These things should come as a standard accessory with every console. It's worth it to have.

This thing is an absolute game changer and a must have for MMOs. I used to have the original OEM chatpad for 360 and resigned myself to not having one when MS never came out with one for current controllers. It didn't dawn on me until recently that the aftermarket would have a perfect replacement! I'm so glad to have one of these back on my controller. Good Compatibility - This fits the current Series X controller and the Elite 2! Even better is you can charge the Elite 2 in it's charging case with it on! My hats off to them, they really did their homework on this one. Backlighting - This is also a great feature that I wouldn't want to be without. Green was a good choice. It's not harsh, yet it's very bright. Bad or not so bad Fit - Not really a complaint but the fit is probably 99.8% It snaps in there, but there's the tiniest feeling flex or play in the fit. I'm really nitpicking though, as it's still very securely on. This is probably as good as it gets with aftermarket. Quality - If I remember right, the original 360 chatpad controller felt like it used much better plastics. As you'd expect, this one is pretty smooth (in contrast to the controller), and a bit light and cheap feeling. Buttons - The buttons are solid rubber with kind of a cheap calculator feel (no tactility). In contrast, the original chatpad did have a click feel when depressing buttons and each key was made of hard plastic. If you have any need to type in game, this is the one to buy. Until MS releases an OEM version, I think this is as good as it gets. It's very inexpensive and does everything it should.

Keypad and backlight are in good working order. The only issue so far is that my headset mic does not work when plugged into the gamepad's port. I have to manually push into the port for it to pick up the mic other wise it doesn’t fully seat. I have hyper X cloud 2 so quality of the headset isn’t the issue because it plugs and works just fine when inserted into just the controller. 30 bucks is 30 bucks though.

Needed a light weight keyboard attachment to be able to use my headphones and this is perfect. The instructions are clear, plug and play. They keyboard has a bright back light and I love that it automatically dims when idle. This really helped maintain high battery life. The ability to plug in headphones is also a must. It fits well and flush and doesnt add a lot of weight. Love it.

There has been a quite a few reviews here claiming that this product is an absolute god sent. Let me address this to you, this product isnt it. Allow me to go over the good the bad and the ugly. It was functional in game thats I didnt even expect to support keyboards and in some cases the AWSD even acted as analog keys in shooters much like on a regular PC keyboard. That was surprising but utterly useless because keys are too small, even for my thing and frail fingers. The brightness on the keys are exceptional. At first you will believe you have a quality product which is deceiving, but Ill explain that later. The lights on the keyboard will automatically shut off when not in used and restart again when using. Thats a very good thing especially since it will drain your controller's battery. Quite quickly as well. (assuming you dont have it plugged in) The fit and finish, well, its a hit and miss. The finish is great. The buttons are all rubberized and not too sticky. the overall material is pretty average so dont expect top quality stuff. As long as you dont throw your controller, the keyboard will be fine. The fit of the apparatus is a miss. It will for sure fit into your controller but there is no *click* that lets you know that its been inserted properly. Ii fact, its hard to know when its officially inserted into your controller. So wheres the problem? Simple. Its stopped working. It happened after a week and i was not even using it it very heavely. So because of that I cannot recommend it. At all. You can go ahead and believe the other reviews if you like but based on my experience, this wasnt it, chief. SKIP!
