I have always had thin baby fine hair all my life and now that I am over the age of 60 it's becoming even thinner. I had no idea a shampoo bar could be so awesome for scalp and hair. I admit I was skeptical about using this, but I sometimes enjoy trying new products just to see what all the fuss is about. The Rice Water Shampoo and Conditioner bar rose way above my expectations. Foamed well and was easy to distribute on my scalp. Rinsed out well and left my scalp feeling clean and nourished without even a hint of dry. And hours later, my sensitive scalp still feels good. I've read some of the reviews about sliding or rubbing the bar down the shaft of the hair to clean it, but I believe this is unnecessary as experts say to shampoo the roots/scalp only and condition the hair just down from midway the ear. That works well for me. Besides, suds from cleaning products always trail down the hair length anyway. This was definitely a good purchase for me, and I plan to continue with these products.

To be honest, I initially bought these because the prices were so reasonable at around 4-6 dollars and comparable to cheaper bottled shampoos. I wouldn't have tried it otherwise because I haven't heard of the brand before and was skeptical. Boy am I glad I gave it a try! I've been using solid shampoos since 2016. I tried Lush's shampoo bars, the expensive HiBars, trader joes' tea tree shampoo bar, and one other one I can't remember that has shampoo and body wash hybrid. I've used the rasberry and kiwi bars from this brand and they are both outperforming all the other more expensive ones ($12-25) I've tried. Hair clean, soft, light weight, very slight good scent that lingers for about 14 hours, great lather. The only issue I have is that it runs out quick. I have medium length normal wavy hair and one bar lasts me about a month. I wash my hair everyday. Another downside is that the pricing for the bar has been increasing. I bought 3 bars, each month apart and the price has increased to be 10-13 dollars now. This is saddening since I loved that it was affordable on top of being great, which was refreshing to see and encouraging since I thought this bar can really bring on other people to start only using bar shampoos. But now price is up and less people likely are willing to give it a shot. I'm just hoping that ecofriendly products on the market become more affordable soon so that more people can have that option to live with smaller carbon footprint!

I washed my hair 2x so far. The shampoo bar lathered well, had no smell at all and to my surprise, I did not need a detangler to comb my wet, shoulder length hair. But the static!! My hair is totally unmanageable, sticks to my face and just falls weird. On day 2, I added a defrizz product prior to drying and then when it was dry, added an oil treatment to the ends. These products only slightly helped. I will continue to use for another few days to see what happens, but so far I'm not impressed. It does seem to help with losing bair, but I can't go out in public with my hair like this. I don't think I'll purchase again unless my hair starts to respond better, with continued use. EDIT- the small business reached out and offered a refund. I didn't feel right taking it since they are a small business, so they sent a conditioner bar free of charge. My hair has greatly improved with continued use of the bar and conditioner. If you're experience static like I was, hang in there. It really does reduce the loss of hair. I'd have to clean my drain stopper every day. Since using this shampoo, I clean it every other week.

I just finished using this shampoo bar. Although it didn't make my hair shinier, I can tell that it's thicker and it may have grown faster, too. It's hard to tell because I have a pixie hair cut. I used a rice water shampoo bar prior to us this one, so it may be the combination of the two. I can definitely recommend this shampoo. For context, I'm 66, female, and I've been fighting hair loss for years with fairly decent results using an off-brand of Rogaine that I purchased from Amazon, and I take a diuretic prescribed by my dermatologist for its off-label use for hairloss. Previous review: I was expecting to see some difference # maybe shinier hair, less frizz, but there's really noth any better than any other shampoos I've tried in the past, and I've definitely used better. It just cleans your. I do like that it's a bar soap and not in a plastic bottle!

This lathered well, smells good, and seemed to get my hair clean and with a good texture, but after a couple days using this I noticed my scalp was dry and visibly flaky. I went back to my regular shampoo and my scalp went back to normal.

Very good cleaning experience. Does not strip hair (will not be squeaky clean) but for my dry hair it's perfect. Effective and feels gentle on my scalp. Lovely smell but not too strong. Sets up my hair to receive hair conditioner. Will buy again.

Caution! The ingredients list is not complete. Those who are allergic to Sun Flower should not buy this product. I chose it because this was the only product that didn't mention it in the ingredients on the site. But alias I get the package and it has it in there. I am pretty disappointed.
