I am 5'3 height and I am 150 pounds. I bought a large size and it's perfect and still have wiggle room. It is still wind resistant so yes it definitely will keep you warm. The interior lining is super soft and is of great style and it is functional for an awesome and complimentary winter jacket. It is exactly as pictured. I am urging you to buy. You will never be disappointed.

So my current job has me working outside for multiple hours in the mountains. I needed a good coat to keep me warm. A coat that would cover my butt and thighs, and I hate wearing hats, so it also had to have a hood. This completely fits the bill. It’s very lightweight, and very comfortable. But don’t let that make you think that it’s not going to keep you warm, because it’s great at doing that as well. Almost feels like I’m wearing a down comforter as a coat. I don’t think that this will suffice in below zero temperatures. You need something a lot more heavy duty for that. But in normal cold weather, including rain or snow, it should do nicely. At just under 5 feet tall it covers me almost down to my knees. That could have caused a problem with sitting or walking, but fortunately it has a double zipper. So I can unzip the bottom as much as I need to, while having the rest of the coat zipped up to my chin. The detachable hood is roomy and warm. And it lays down nicely without bunching or pulling on the coat. The faux fur is a nice touch. My only complaint is that I wish that the hood had snaps on it so that you could close it up at the bottom when you had the hood up. As for the shape of the coat, it’s nicely fitted, but as it’s a “puffer” coat it’s not exactly slimming. But that’s the least of my worries. Amazon recommended me the large, but after reading the reviews I decided to size down. And I don’t regret it. In the medium I have enough room to wear thicker clothing if I want, but it’s not hanging off me like a sack. In conclusion, I totally recommend this if you’re looking for a longer coat with a hood that can keep you warm in reasonably cold weather.

Very warm, nicely built jacket. I think it will last a long time. The downsides: The hood is useless. There is nothing to cinch it down close to your head and keep it on your head. It falls backward with any wind so not designed to keep your head warm. The zipper frequently get stuck with fabric. It was also too bulky to function in. I wanted to use camping/outdoor activities and this jacket won't work for that. I was disappointed in how it doesn't show my curves but I think that is partly the bulkiness that makes it warm. I am keeping the jacket and plan on only using on trips to the midwest to visit in laws. Just using it getting in and out of buildings and not actually doing activities in.
