Amazon really surprised me on this one. Found myself buying last minute because living in Florida, we never get super cold weather and our cold spells consist of a big sweater and we are good. We had planned to go to Disney and the weather suddenly was going to dip into the 20/30’s. I ran out to buy jackets and no stores around here had anything in stock. I was in a panic! Knowing we were leaving the next day and totally unprepared.l, I hopped on Amazon and looked for same day deliveries for winter jackets. This one popped up and so I took a chance. I bought three of them. I’m 5’3 - 160 and the large was slightly snug but it was still comfy and I could wear a layer underneath it was fine. I prob should have gone with X-Large only because I like jackets loose. In the pic - The one on the right is 5’2 at 140 pounds and went with large size which fit her perfectly. The one on the left is 5’2- 89 pounds and went with a small and she was swimming in hers but she loved it. But you can see that the hood was way over her head but she didn’t care - kept her warm. These jackets are comfortable and freaking warm! We were in 32 degree weather had thermals on underneath and we were super warm, sometimes even hot! Lots of pockets, waterproof and stylish. This coat is fantastic! It is made so well and has generous outside pockets and a large inside pocket. The detachable fur trimmed hood is so attractive. Lined with cuddly faux fur, this winter coat, for the price, is a real steal!

I wanted to love this warm, beautiful (purple) coat! Most of my shirts and tops lately have been medium or large, so I went with a large. My measurements fit the L sizing chart. Sadly, it was too snug on the torso, especially at the hip level. There was no room for bulky clothing underneath. At the same time, the shoulders were kind of big on me, so it looked boxy. If I had tried the XL, that might be even worse, so I'm returning the coat. The other thing was the hood. It hangs down over nearly half my face so I can't even see, and there wasn't a way to change that. It was comfortable, seemed very warm, and the purple color is beautiful. For the record, I'm a senior citizen, 5'3", and about 160 lbs., maybe a bit less (been losing weight). My hips aren't particularly wide, and neither is my chest, so I thought sure a large would fit just fine. For the right build and size, though, I recommend the coat! Beautiful coat. Will need it in Pennsylvania next winter. Nice lining, can take the hood off. It is versatile because it is Weatherproof so you can wear it in the rain It is true to size but got a larger size to wear bulky sweaters underneath.the material is very nice and is a pretty color. BEST JACKET EVER! So I’m coming to the East coast from the West Coast next week (March 6-15) for spring break with my kids. I have followed the weather and knew that it was gonna be cold, also from the blizzard and possible snow next week I knew we needed to get jackets because here in Utah as we are two hours north of Las Vegas; weather has been beautiful lately with temps of the high 70s. I know that’s not gonna be the case for the east when we get there next Friday… so I wanted to buy a coat that I knew it would be warm, durable , comfortable, stylish and most of all inexpensive. This coat out did itself for everything I ever wanted. I purchased an XL based on the reviews- and the jacket is snug around the hips when it is zipped up. Comparably to other reviews I don’t have any issues using these zipper- I love the waist cinching part of the jacket, I can show my narrow waist that I’ve been working my butt off on since I’m losing weight. Comparable to other brands in the same size this one’s a little more snug and it’s just right. Its lining is lined with fleece (although not the softest fleece) that I know will keep me warm. I believe I can layer it at least with a hoodie underneath, it is a little bulky but that’s because of the stuffing material inside. I love how the wrists are for fitting- the hood is adorable, who doesn’t want a fur lined jacket? When I get to the East Coast I will update my review. But I was like you searching endlessly on Amazon for the next best jacket for my trip. I had already bought a different jacket the day before in the same size and that one was bulky, boxy looking and way oversized. So if you want a snug jacket and you’re like me who is 5’3; 195 pounds (I was 225 pounds five weeks ago) then this jacket is for you! I am more of a hip girl, so if you’re like me then this is for you! If you have bigger hips ( I’m talking J Lo hips) and I would size up. ... show more
