Relatively waterproof, it only soaks through if you're standing in a downpour for hours on end. Made with high quality fabric, and it's very stylish! I absolutely love this coat. It's the perfect length when I'm out walking the dog on those cold winter days. It's not super thick, but the lighter weight still keeps you super warm when the harsh winter winds are blowing. Great quality and is holding up extremely well, even after washing it multiple times.

Wow it was so nice! With some of the negative reviews I feared that it would be sub-par. It was definately a delight. Warm, water proof, nice blue color, fair price, big zippers, removable hood, sealed with velcro patches, nice big pockets and pockets to keep hands warm with a bonus pocket inside the coat. Hood is big, so wear a baseball cap inside to lift and widen the hood away from your face. I am a med size and I ordered xl to be sure it was big inside to wear an additional coat to wear in Alaska. The waist adjusting pull makes it fit fine!! Love it.

I just received this coat yesterday, but so far I’m very happy with it! I needed a new coat that was both long and a little more spacious (room for layers and such). I ordered an XL and a L probably would have been fine and still given me the extra room I was looking for. I will be keeping the XL though, as it still works since there are pull strings at the waist to tighten. I love the length, the fur trim on hood, the large snap closure pockets (great for storing gloves and such), the dual zipper (zips from top & bottom), the snap closure flap over zipper, the pull strings at waist & on hood, the cuffs to keep wind/cold from going up the sleeves, and the zippers on the side at the bottom (for sitting/ walking). The things I wish were done differently: the hood is really deep with no way to adjust (a cinch at the back of the hood would be nice), I wish the same “fur” that trims the hood was used to line the inside of the hood/coat (including the arms)/side hand pockets, and it would be nice if the cuffs had thumb holes. If these improvements were made this coat would be perfect. However, this coat is great as is also and I would recommend (especially for the price).

I needed a jacket for NYC with 23 degree weather. This jacket seemed to have good reviews for that. I brought layers and after the first day realized I didn’t need a sweater underneath. It was very warm!! The pockets in the front were deep for my cellphone and gloves with snap closure , plus two more pockets on the side. The hood stayed in place and kept my head warm. This is such an ideal jacket for NYC. When walking around you will noticed everyone is wearing a similar jacket. I’ll be honest, I was trying to find a cheaper jacket since I was only there for a week, but I’m glad I didn’t go that route. I think I would have been miserable. We even had two days of snowfall and again I was never cold. I’m 5’7” 175lbs size Large. I think XL would have been too big. I actually pulled the drawstrings in the middle tighter to give a silhouette. I never do reviews on clothes, but when I look at reviews for clothes, I like seeing if they will serve the purpose I need (this case keep you warm), and I like seeing how tall and how much someone weighs to see if that same size would work for me. Hope this helps someone.
