I bought this jacket mainly for what will probably be a one-off several day trip, with some light hiking, in a cold and wet environment. A jacket both warm and waterproof was needed , but I did not want to make a pricey investment in a jacket I might use only occasionally afterwards. I think it will meet this immediate need and other light exertion needs in the future. On inspection, however, I'm not sure it would have the durability to stand up to repeated daily use over long periods of time, especially if heavier physical exertion might put stress on the seams or zippers. The front zipper seems to be of low quality, and I imagine it might be the first to go if put under any stress. The seams have very narrow material margins, easy to fray out. IN FACT, in testing the pocket zippers I found that a seam around the pocket already had a huge gap where stitching had failed to sew the material together, so the inner lining was exposed. If you order the product, be sure and examine it carefully for loose seams. Facing the choice of repackaging the jacket, returning it, and waiting another several weeks for it to hopefully be re-delivered (with no similar other flaws), I decided to try and carefully re-stitch this seam together myself. I had read reviews stating this jacket was very "boxy." I did not find that to be true. However, because I have trouble with sleeve lengths in female clothning often being way too short, I ordered a Male Size Medium. I'm 5 ft. 7 in., about 160 pounds, and not particularly hippy or pear shaped. The jacket when snapped and buttoned was fairly slim in sizing with the bottom snap making a rather snug fit, with no boxiness or room left. The shoulder sizing and sleeve length were fine. Overall, perhaps because of my height, the profile was more slim than boxy looking. I was also pleased that the pockets are deep enough to accommodate items, like eyeglasses in a case, e.g. I can't speak as to whether it is indeed waterproof or warm because I haven't used it yet.

I bought this for going to class because I live a a state that is relatively cold for about half of the year. For that purpose, this coat is amazing. - It insulates very well with the faux fur and outer windbreaker layer. I can wear nothing but a t-shirt underneath in about 25°F and still feel warm. - I have yet to test how well it keeps dry in rain and against any winds higher than 20mph but when I do, I will update this. This Jacket is very cheap relative to the other Ski jackets out there, but I do have some caveats for potential buyers. - The pockets feel very cheap and are very thin (They are still warm though). I feel like if I accidently leave anything sharp or even my keys in my pocket they might accidentally tear it. - There is only 2 buttons for the flap that covers the zipper. I would have been fine without the flap, but since it is there, it is annoying a majority of the time. The buttons are located at the top and bottom, no in between. I would love if it could have at 3 or even 4 buttons so I could have the option of either keeping part of it unbuttoned. There is no choice for that with this Jacket. It is either flap buttoned on or off. Overall great Jacket, the button placement just irritates me.

Ordered this for my son since I needed a winter coat for him that is both waterproof and warm. I'm in Southern California, so no snow, but in Jan. & Feb, mornings can dip into the upper 30's and low 40's and on the rare occasions that it rains, he needs a good waterproof coat that also has a hood. He usually wears an XL in t-shirts and outerwear (he's 5'5" and 142 lbs), so I ordered the XL for him and it's a perfect fit (as in, this fits true to size) and hits him just around the hips. Three features I really like: 1) hood is removable via a zipper, so no fear that it will pop off due to flimsy snaps; 2) cuffs are adjustable with velcro straps; 3) has a single zipper (my son is autistic and double zippers confuse him -- he can handle a single zipper). I so like this coat that I just ordered the women's version for myself!! Very good value for the price. UPDATE: Replacement coat (in mens 2XL) arrived today (04Feb23) and it does fit me, albeit a tad roomy, but I wonder if that is because it's a mens size. Not sure if the women's 2XL would have fit any better, but I'm satisfied with this. Kinda wish there had been more choice of colors in the mens sizes, only "manly" colors were offered. Oh well, still happy with a better fitting coat!

I used this jacket to trail ride my fat bike in -15 below Fahrenheit (-28 wind chill) weather wearing only a light base layer. It's warm and windproof. The jacket is cut loose to comfortably fit a base and mid layer. I am 6 ft tall 175 lb and wear a size large, this jacket in size medium fits me perfectly. It is well made and has pockets in all the right places, I especially like the removable hood which is very serviceable in cold-windy conditions. The faux fur lining is warm and dries quickly after use. I wouldn't say the shell is breathable, but it's a great wind barrier. Overall I like the design of this jacket and I think it's a good value. I own lots of outdoor activity jackets and this is one of my favorites.

From a frequent skier, and a frequent visitor to northern states during the winter months, I can assure you that this is one of the best coats on the market. With a full, and easily removable hood, you can experience complete comfort all around your head. Included, there are many pockets all having zippers to ensure that none of your valuable will fall out. In addition, this coat is waterproof; no more worrying that the snow will stain and sink in your old coat, it will just slip right off with this coat. From the inside, the quality fur keeps your inner core nice and warm. I highly recommend this product to everyone either living in the northern colder states or to anyone who skis as it will help a lot in all aspects of life.
