This review is for the 14 inch Queen. Like most reviews about this mattress here, including mine, they are from someone who hasn't had this mattress very long, so I will be updating this from time to time. It's easy to say it is nice and comfortable when it's new, but how does it hold up over time is important to know so updates will be coming to this review from time to time. Pros: Shipping was right on time and it was packaged carefully and received in great condition. We received it on Thursday and put it on the bed and unwrapped it as soon as we got it. There was no odor or chemical smell of any kind right out of the box. We let it expand for more than 48 hours before sleeping on it Saturday, or last night. The mattress is very firm with a plush topper on it. It's very firm but not hard. I had the best nights sleep last night that I've had in a very long time last night thanks to this mattress. It is very supportive and comfortable. I am a side sleeper that turns frequently and I found myself turning last night much less than I usually do. We are coming off a twelve year old 10 inch Serta mattress and I am pleased as punch that we went with the 14 inch mattress this time. I'm really impressed with how tall it is. As a big and tall person, the height makes is real easy to get in and out of. Cons: None yet Other information: I am a big person, 6'3" and 330#. My wife is pretty small, about 5'3" and 135#. After the first night her opinion is that she was comfortable on it and slept better than she has in a while. It may actually prove to be a bit firm for a smaller person or for someone who doesn't care for a firm mattress, , but for me, I am very surprised and happy with how well it supports me. Again, it is very firm but not hard - very supportive. The topper adds just the right amount of plush softness on top where we lie. When either of us move or roll on our side, the other person doesn't feel it on their side. Recommendation: If you are a big or tall or heavy person and need a firm mattress, or just someone whole prefers a firm mattress, I recommend this one in the 14 inch height. The 14 inch height is well worth the additional cost over the 10 inch in my opinion. I also recommend for the 14 inch mattress that you let it expand 48 hours before sleeping on it. The website recommends 24 hours, but I can tell you that after the initial 24 hour period, ours expanded another several inches over the second 24 hour period. Give it 48 hours to expand before sleeping on it, you will be glad you did. 11-26-2019 UPDATE Have slept on the mattress 10 nights now. No change in opinion, 5 stars... 12-18-2019 UPDATE We've been sleeping on this bed for a month now and still loving it. The past week has been with our little grandson sleeping with us. ... show more

I went into a store and the guy actually recommended I buy a bed from Amazon. I never thought about doing this because I didn't know how it would be shipped. Surprisingly, they had compacted the bed really well into this vacuum seal. I let the bed to rest for about 36 hours for it to fully come into shape. It's been about 1.5 years I had this bed with no issues so far. The bed has a nice consistency of being soft, but the springs hold up support well so you dont feel like your sinking into the bed.     • Just WOW! Never imagined a 14" bed-in-a-box for under $250 could be this comfortable.

So I bought this mattress for my son's bed at his college apartment. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I have been pleasantly surprised. He says that it is very comfortable and he sleeps well on it. The mattress pairs nicely with the ZINUS Judy Upholstered Platform Bed Frame / Mattress Foundation / Wood Slat Support / No Box Spring Needed / Easy Assembly, Full (and no box spring needed). I do recommend going with 14" mattress because I think the thicker the mattress, the more comfortable it is. My only complaint/issue with this mattress is that if you sit on the edge, you are going to slide off because there isn't much support along the edges (as you would see with a $1000 coil mattress). But for only costing $250 and arriving condensed in a box that allowed it to be easily put in an SUV and transported up to school, I can't complain. We were originally looking at mattresses at C*stc*, but this was about half the price and fit inside the SUV. It did expand to its almost full-size within minutes of removing it from the plastic, and had minimal (if any) odor. I did immediately place the mattress in a Four Seasons Full Size Mattress Protector Bedbug Waterproof Zippered Cover Hypoallergenic Premium Quality Encasement (which I also recommend.) ... show more

The mattress is very comfortable if your not by the edge. There isn’t many support springs around the perimeter, so when you sit or lay on the edges it sinks. However if you stay away from the edges it is very comfortable and has support. After unwrapping the mattress, which took me (I’m a 57 year old woman) only 15 minutes from start to finish, it reached 12 out of the 14 inches. It’s a really nice looking mattress. Never ordered a mattress out of a box before. I live in an apartment and when it was delivered it was dropped off in the foyer. Didn’t even press the buzzer to let me know it was there. I found it by accident. It was a very heavy box I couldn’t move to my apartment myself. Had to borrow a dolly to move it before it was stolen. Other than that, it would be good for a kids room/ dorm or guest room. It’s a good mattress for the price. ... show more

It may not be the most comfortable or anything, but for the price this is a wonderful mattress. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and have had more mattresses than I can count that just wouldn't cut it. I figured as cheap as this mattress is that I would be waking up in all kinds of pain, but I don't. I actually sleep quite well and wake up feeling fine.
