I thought it would be 14 inches off the floor but it sits down in the frame. Now my headboard is too high. Bought this and a new mattress thinking the height would be perfect for my headboard but because of the inset now it’s 4 inches too short. I’m keeping it though, I’ll just have to move my headboard. I had experienced a defect with my original bed frame and the vendor worked with me to coordinate a replacement immediately. They worked directly with the manufacturer on my behalf and made it such a smooth experience. Kind and respectful! The new frame is sturdy and appears to be without the defect (more solid welding). I am incredibly impressed by both the vendor and Modway for providing such a genuinely positive experience. If you have an issue with your order, give them a chance and let them know. For starters the product that was sent to me was damaged. So that made it a lot harder to put the whole thing together. The instructions say approx. 30 minutes to assemble. My experience determined that was a lie. Try over an hour. Also I almost got a splinter on the planks.

It is very well made and sleek looking. It did take a LONG TIME to receive it but I am over my mad. We purchased a sleep number bed and I was afraid the frame would be sharp or poorly made on the inside and cut a hole in the new bed but no sir, it is great.

I just moved and bought a king sized bed so I didn’t have much of a budget. You get what you pay for with this one. It definitely holds up but is only a temporary solution until I have the money to buy a nice frame. As me and my friends were assembling it, if we accidentally clanked two pieces together part of the white paint would chip off. Ultimately you can’t see any of the chips with the comforter on the bed so it will do for now! ... show more

it’s ok. very cheaply made, with bent parts and uneven cornerson the metal bits and cheap, splintering wood and plastic parts on the support bits. if you can hide the frame, and you want something high enough you can store stuff under it (except there are legs down the middle, so good luck with that), it is ok. the black color makes it disappear, and we hide the edges with a duvet. it is actually really long, so you have to decide if you want a giant gap at the foot or the head. we put ours against a headboard. it’s too high for that, but for now, it will have to do. ... show more
