I received and assembled this chair yesterday. It is really high up! I feel like a starship captain when I sit in it. The arm rests are so comfortable, it surprises me how comfortable it is. Nice back support and you can kind of sit back and just relax and look down at your work and think how wonderful it is to sit so high up. I added Rollerblade wheels that I bought separately. The chair comes in a tightly packed box, professionally wrapped and secure. The instructions are very clear and easy to read. It says 2 people will take 30 minutes to assemble and I found that the second person is to hold the swear jar and go find your tools again. You can do both, by yourself. The arms are an absolute nightmare to screw on. Though everything is crystal clear, it annoys me that you have to jam a fat short screw into a narrow rectangular hole for the first placement on each armrest (4 screws per armrest, and the very first one which attaches to the backrest is the tough one). I successfully used a craft hammer to force it through. Once that stressful tasks is accomplished, it all comes together very quickly. You may require help holding the arm to the back support, but I achieved it by myself, and I am not mechanical or handy in any way. PS...the box is heavy, so plan for that. After doing a lot of research and reading reviews over 2 weeks, I decided on this chair. With the COVID-19 outbreak I have been working at home. My husband made me a custom desk and the normal chairs were to low for the desk. I decided on a drafting chair since the seat height went higher than 22". I needed 24-25" height. I have been using this chair daily for 9 hours per day going on 2 months now. This chair is stylish, super comfortable and has great back support. I also like that the arm rests can either be up or down which allows me to push the chair under my desk when not in use and very comfortable when in use. The arm rests are hard plastic but have a nice contour in them where your arm can rest comfortably The mesh fabric seems to be very well made and I love the breathable mesh and lumbar support on the back. I do not use the foot rest since my feet still touch the ground. I like that there's one lever and nothing to constantly have to adjust. This chair sits on carpet and is very easy to move should I need to. I would definitely purchase this chair again. ... show more

This chair was very easy to assemble and initially appears pretty well made (time will tell as I sit for long periods). The 4 star rating is only due to the slope at the front of the seat that causes you to feel like your sliding out of the chair (without the support of your feet against the bar). This was intended to reduce fatigue & increase circulation, I get it but, maybe the seat base could be an inch or so deeper. Otherwise, this would easily be a 5 star product because of the ergonomic back support and rotating arm rests which are the best features of the chair. I purchased separate roller-blade style wheels to see if they will roll better on laminate flooring without scuffing or marking and will see how that goes once the flooring is finished. Overall, I would Highly recommend this chair if you like a significant height adjustment and look for ways to support standing while using the chair as a rest. ... show more

I was nervous about buying a chair online. also buying one that costs so much money. I normal buy office chairs at the goodwill. but as I get older my spine pain is getting worse, and it's so hard for me to find a chair that doesn't hurt my back (I have Sponlilthesis). but I tried the payment options and said Meh lets see. I am so glad I did this chair is awesome! oh also I wanted to get this drafting chair because I love to cook at home and make things from scratch, so I have to be standing on my feet for hours when you consider the dishes clean up that's a good 5 hours. so it's been painful. so I wanted a drafting chair so I could roll dough, do dishes etc. with comfort. and this thing is a dream! it has never caused back issues. it is the perfect Hight! the shocks are AWESOME! I am very over weight as well as I have a muscular build (I weight lift) so I weigh a good 280 pounds and this thing so far has been a good sport lol. I am very carful though, cause I do believe I am outside of its weight limit, but so far it has supported me great! So this old gal is very thankful to the manufactures for making my life that much better. ... show more

I'm still deciding on whether or not this chair is worth keeping... The Good: It was easy to put together and the instructions were clear; it took me maybe 20 minutes at most to assemble. The seat height adjusts to the height of a standing desk, which is perfect for my use. The seat is wide and fairly comfortable; I'm able to sit on top of one crossed leg comfortably (crossed-legged also is pretty comfortable). The Bad: The backrest may be ergonomic, but it's extremely uncomfortable; I'm already experiencing neck and shoulder pain after only a few days. The seat cushion materials have a warning stating: "May cause cancer and reproductive harm" which is an unnecessary caution when there are so many harmless options out there. The armrest height is not adjustable, and sit just slightly too low, leading me to slouch if I use them. The foot-stand wheel's tightening mechanic is of poor quality and slides down if not much pressure is applied. You have to fully be out of the chair for it to rise. The Ugly: Was not aware that the back rest was a mesh tightly stretched across a skeletal backing...meaning the profile is thick and bulky, and dust will be able to accumulate between the two materials (that will be difficult to clean). The screw-hole plugs are poorly made...they are a flimsy rubber and will most certainly fall out. Overall, a lot of the components are bulkier than they need to be...a similar chair offering the same height and ergonomic qualities could be so much cleaner and simpler in silhouette and style. ... show more
