At some point, I'll be needing knee replacement. With physical therapy and support from this brace, I should be able to stave off surgery. It's a substantial brace with good cushioning around the patella. The velcro is strong and it's generally well-made. I haven't begun to use it, but I have a good sense that it will help that knee that's beginning to go and causing me pain.

I take this brace on and off 10 times a day, and adjust it that many times as well, depending on what I am doing. Easy to adjust, comfortable, and looks good. Have a compression brace for exercise walking. This one I wear with shorts, would probably have to go over pants. Very nice brace.

I agree with some other reviewers, the middle strap on this brace is too short. I ordered a size XL where all of my measurements were within those listed, and I could not fasten the middle strap at all. So I sent back the XL and ordered XXL, and it fits really well. So if you are a person with, as another reviewer worded it, "chubby legs", definitely order up a size from the measurements listed. Overall though this is a very good brace. I have bone-on-bone arthritis in both knees, and sometimes I have a very difficult time getting around. These braces make my knees feel much more stable, and also reduce the amount of pain. They are quite easy to get on and off, and seem to have very strong velcro. I have used neoprene knee sleeves prior to this, and although they also help with pain and stability, neoprene just seems to smell bad after just one or two wearings. My knees sweat a lot with neoprene too. With this brace, I have no problem with the smell at all, other than it smelled "rubbery" for a few days, but that smell went away quickly. I am not sweating much either with this brace. The brace does not roll over and stays in place pretty well. Occasionally I have to move it up after wearing it several hours, but I think that is sometimes because I didn't get it quite tight enough when I put it on. I am thankful to have found this brace, as it does help me in my day-to day life. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only for the inconvenience of having to send it back and order a bigger size because of the middle strap problem.

Because I have such large thighs, alot of braces either slide down or are too tight when I need them to stay up. Looking for a shorter brace that was just more around my knee, this is actually well worth the money. Plus, HUGE advantage, you can take it off and on without removing your pants and shoes! Great brace! I have no cartilage, bones get stuck in each other and a very swollen meniscus! It has take the Majority of that pain away and has helped me get through my days!
