Let me start off this review by saying these compression sleeves are of excellent quality, feel good against the skin, and they really do help with my knee pain. I was skeptical about a stretchy tube of fabric being able to help me, but I’m now a believer. Now let’s talk about the fit. It is VERY important to get an accurate measurement (especially if you’ve got fluffier thighs like I do). I originally ordered a large, according to the size chart. But after receiving them and wearing for only a short time, they ended up being too tight at the thighs and very uncomfortable. So I measured again and quickly realized I was going to need to contact the seller. The first time I measured prior to ordering, I couldn’t find my tailor’s tape so I just used a string and a standard contractor’s tape measure. Which put me at the top end of needing a large. This time, I used my actual tailor’s tape, and sure enough, I should’ve gotten the XL. This is why my review title stresses getting an accurate measurement! I screwed up, so don’t be me! Lol Thankfully, the seller was understanding and even encouraged me to measure a third time to be sure of the size, since you only get one chance at replacement (understandable). The XL pair arrived this afternoon and I can happily say that they fit great. And I will definitely purchase these again once they wear out. Which I don’t expect to happen anytime soon because they truly are very good quality and very well made. Oh, and I was honestly expecting to have issues with them rolling down at the thighs because of my chubby leg shape, but nope! They stay put for the most part. I do have to slightly adjust every couple of hours, but that’s to be expected with just about any article of clothing or item that offers support. ... show more

I have larger legs, and these knee braces fit better than I expected. They provide good compression and support during workouts without feeling too tight. My only complaint is that they tend to roll down a little at the top during longer sessions. Even with that, they’re comfortable, seem well made, and have been a solid choice for exercising. If you have larger legs, just expect a little rolling, but overall I’d still recommend them. ... show more

My wife has had problems intermittently with her right knee if she twists it the wrong way during her regular cardio exercise classes. Things improved significantly when she got a pair of Ryka training shoes but certain movements caused the problem to recur albeit less often. I purchased these knee braces based on positive on line reviews and she loves them. She’s worn them for a couple of classes and has had no issues. She is even wearing the knee for her right knee for other activities like gardening to avoid sudden torque on her knee. She loves the compression which she says is perfect. Not too tight or too loose. She used the size chart and selected a small. It’s easy to put on and take off the thickness is ideal-not too thick or too thin and the quality is excellent. The brace doesn’t cause excess sweat. She only plans on using one but the extra brace will allow her to wash the one she’s been wearing without having to stop for a day. I cannot say enough good things about these Modvel knee braces. I have been dealing with a nagging meniscus issue and standard arthritis flare-ups that were really starting to slow me down. I was desperate to avoid injections or pills, and this two-pack has been an absolute lifesaver for my daily routine. Here is how they have made a massive difference for me: Real, All-Day Pain Relief: The compression on these is spot on. It provides that perfect "hugged" feeling around the joint that instantly dulls the throbbing from arthritis and keeps post-workout swelling completely at bay. I can finally walk down the stairs in the morning without that familiar, painful wince. Perfect for Workouts & Running: I wear one during my morning jogs and gym sessions, and it doesn't budge. I've been happy with these. I have bursitis-related knee inflammation, and while these don't completely solve the problem, I do notice a difference when I wear them. My knee feels more comfortable and supported, especially when I'm walking or spending a lot of time on my feet. One thing I like is that they're low profile enough to fit comfortably under pants. Sometimes I'll wear one over leggings or yoga pants if I'm just heading out for a quick walk, but it's nice to have the option of wearing it more discreetly when needed. I wouldn't describe these as providing a huge amount of structural support, so if you're looking for a heavy-duty brace, these may not be what you need. For me, though, the compression alone seems to help with comfort and inflammation. The two-pack is useful, as it's nice to be able to throw one in the wash and still have another one available.
