After comparing several modular sofas—including the Annabeii and a few other brands—I decided on the 86" modular sofa with ottoman in black, and I'm so glad I did. I chose this sofa because of its size, seat depth, and black fabric. The dark color is a huge advantage in a home with dogs and children, and the deeper seat is especially comfortable for taller people. I'm tall and can sit or lounge comfortably without feeling cramped. Before purchasing, I read some reviews saying the back cushions weren't supportive enough or that the sofa lacked padding. That hasn't been my experience at all. While the back cushions are a little slimmer than some traditional sofas, they're still comfortable and provide plenty of support. Overall, I think the cushioning strikes a nice balance between supportive and cozy. My entire family—including our pets—loves this sofa. It's become everyone's favorite place to relax (and nap!). Is this a sofa that's going to last 15 years? Probably not. But if you're looking for a stylish, comfortable, well-priced sofa that should provide several years of everyday use, I think it's an excellent value. I already had a leather sofa in my living room and wanted something that complemented it without overwhelming the space. This sofa fits perfectly and makes the room feel complete. Everyone who sees it is surprised when I tell them it came from Amazon—they assume it's from a much more expensive furniture store. The fabric looks exactly as pictured. I've already had a small spill, and it wiped up easily with a damp cloth. It also does a great job hiding pet hair, even with my black dogs. Cleaning is simple with either a vacuum or a damp cloth. It comes with two small accent pillows, and I'll probably add a couple more just for decoration. A few quick observations: Size/Fit: Perfect for my medium-sized living room. Comfort: Medium firmness with comfortable support throughout. Seat Depth: Excellent, especially for taller adults. Padding: Plenty of cushioning. The back is slightly slimmer than some sofas but still very comfortable. Cleaning: Easy to vacuum or wipe clean. Pet Friendly: The black fabric hides pet hair surprisingly well. Appearance: It honestly looks even better in person than it does in the online photos. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and would absolutely recommend it. as previous reviewers have mentioned, the order did not come all at one time. We ordered a two seater as well. The two units came in 5 boxes a day apart. (one box on a tuesday and 4 boxes on wednesday) Each box was labled A/B/C which was explained on the assembly instruction sheet. The directions were pretty straight forward if more picture oriented than words. They do clearly state that it is recommended to wait for all the boxes to arrive before attempting assembly., wise, but frustrating for those of us who are not the most patient. Every piece is clearly labeled and while allen wrenches are included i used my husbands power driver to make sure the bolts were tight enuf. Quality seems nice. Its not Thomasville or Broyhill but it is sturdy and did not feel cheap or flimsy either during assembly or after. We have two children and a 175lb Newfoundland dog. I feel confident this set will get a work out and feel equally confident that it can hold up to our everyday lives. The cushions expanded quite quickly once opened and within an hour there were no packing wrinkles to be seen or deformities. I am over the moon with the color and fabric quality. To be honest I am not sure how I will keep the dog hair at a minimum, but after she climbed up and laid on it for about 30 min there were no signs of her having been there. (Newfoundlands are notorious shedders) I feel this was an excellent choice given our budget and needs. Money well spent. I must also add that after assembling a 3 seat sofa, a 2 seat loveseat and 2 ottomans, as well as moving the old furniture out, I was knackered, took a quick nap on one as it seemed quite well expanded.     • Low back rest but overall great choice

We love our couch! But be ready to have a horde of boxes to sort through. The instructions were fairly easy and with the two of us we got it together in about an hour or two. We've had it for a year now and its still in great shape and cozy. Some things I didnt pay attention to when buying: Its lower to the ground than i expected, and the back rest is also very low, like only halfway up our backs if you sit upright on it. That being said, its very spacious. Two people can lay down on it on each end comfortable. We have a xl german shephered and two small dogs and we can all fit on the couch and foot rests :) Easy to snuggle up in the corners with a pillow and fall asleep on. I love that the cushions are all removable to easily clean or move around. The frame is durable and nothing has broken or loosened in a year of heavy usage. The only thing I wish for is a higher back rest, but weve made out using the throw pillows as needed. Overall its a great couch for the price, assembly was fairly easy but not recommended to do solo, just as there are large parts to hold in place for just two hands. Dogs love it as much as we do. I did try to four star this because of the low back rest but I could not for some reason. Its the only downfall, the back cushions are very cozy but the back frame of the couch is very hard metal, so the way your head would rest on it is not comfortable without an added pillow or blanket ... show more

Admittedly, I was worried when I ordered this couch. Mostly because I had never ordered something like this online before, and you take quite a risk ordering this sort of thing online, because you don't get to sit on it in a showroom somewhere and really determine ahead of purchase that it is a product you really think you will be happy with. But overall, I'm very happy with it so far. This product came in two separate boxes (I only bought the two piece loveseat) on two separate days. Though I only got the loveseat technically, it really is long enough that I can lay down on it comfortably, making it more of a slightly smaller couch, really. It's the perfect size for where I wanted to put it, and the appearance and the feel of the couch get five stars! I only have one issue with the design/manufacture. Once I started putting it together (which was nowhere near as difficult as I thought it would be, based on other reviews), I realized that the Velcro strips on the back panels of the couch line up with the Velcro strips on the backs of the back seat cushions in such a way that the cushions have to stand straight up, which admittedly does look a little odd. In other words, the cushions can't really lay or lean back at all or the Velcro strips don't line up. It's probably not a real problem, and I could just function without them being Velcroed to the back of the couch without issue. But, I would've thought they would have lined up better, personally. If I could suggest a fix to the manufacturer, I would suggest just sewing on a wider strip of the softer portion of the Velcro to the back of the cushions instead (not the rougher piece that's on the back panel), perhaps double the width of the current strip. That would allow the purchaser/user a little bit of leeway in how they want their cushions attached, sitting higher and more upright, or sitting a little lower and more "relaxed/natural". It's not enough of an issue that I would reduce a star or anything though, and otherwise, the couch seems of good quality and comfort. Also, when I was putting it together, I had noticed that half of the legs had a felt pad on the bottom of the feet, and half didn't. After I contacted the seller and sent them a photo of what I was talking about, they had new adhesive felt pads sent to me quickly (which I received within just a couple of days). So, I have to commend the seller on their responsiveness and willingness to rectify the problem quickly and satisfactorily. Again, not an issue worthy of reducing a star or anything, especially with how easy it was to have corrected. I went to every single furniture store/outlet in my city with a goal of getting a sectional for under $700. There wasn’t even a sectional I actually liked/found comfortable that was under $1k. The only sectionals I could find for this price were sad, super firm or too squishy small sectionals. I bought this after tons of research on Amazon and wayfair, and WOW it’s actually perfect. I’ve got the ottomans lined up on one side to make it a sectional and it fits great for the space. My only complaint is there’s no way to secure the ottomans like you can with the other parts of the couch, so they slide around a lot, but hopefully a rug will fix that. The cushions are so deep and easy to lounge on. The backs are the perfect height. It looks like a $1500 couch, while being under $700. Shipping was so fast I wasn’t even home from the holidays when it came in (cue a Christmas Day mad rush home to get it inside and out of the rain). My boyfriend and I are both on the larger side and we can sit on the same cushion without feeling unstable. There was no smell at all, and everything feels good quality! Update: we’ve had the couch for a few months now & I’m still very satisfied with it, but I’ve noticed some things. The top cushions are secured by one long stretch of Velcro. I move around a lot which doesn’t help, but that Velcro doesn’t keep the cushion in place & after a couple hours you get a smushed cushion which then pushes out the bottom cushion. Next thing you know you’re leaning on the hard back of it and scratching your arm on Velcro or slowly sliding out. It’s a super easy fix, the cushions slide right back into place, but it’s just a bit annoying and not an issue I’ve had with any other couch. The other thing is that the top cushions very easily get smushed, and the process of fluffing them back out like you would a normal pillow is much harder due to how they’re stuffed. It’s a solid 5 minutes of beating the cushion, but I guess maybe that’s a plus if you need some anger relief now and then. It’s still a great couch, so comfy usually, and I get tons of compliments on it. People are always shocked when I tell them how much it was. Nice fabric. Looks really nice. Comfortable to sit on. The cracks between seat cushions are fairly wide apart. They taper on the sides. Cushion on ottoman does not hold in place well with the Velcro. For the price, it’s a nice sofa.

Love this couch and with a few extra customizations it’s even better! I added extra stuffing to the arms and back cushions and added solid wood 5” legs. Also I switched the seat cushions so the front faced the back. This solved the problem of feeling like you were sliding off. The backs of the cushions are higher and have more support then the envelope shaped fronts and the fit better under the back cushions this way. I also chose not to use the Velcro on the backs of the cushions. I just left the Velcro cover strips on. This made the cushions sit better and easier to adjust for how you are sitting.
