The chair itself looks very nice, feels decently constructed, and is not very difficult to put together. With that said, this is definitely the most uncomfortable chair I've ever used. I bought this for my home office/studio, and I've had so much pain in my upper shoulders (back of my lower neck and trapezius area to be precise) due to the shape of the chair. The seat is okay, but the back of the chair causes major issues, and with all the cheap office chairs I've used over the years, I've never had any chair cause me pain. I'm about 5'11" tall and about 170lbs, and size-wise, the chair is perfect for my stature. BUT, when you sit into this chair, the seatback is curved (the curvature from side to side) to the point that it brings your shoulders pretty far forward, causing terrible posture. Imagine wrapping your arms across your chest as far as you can, as if you were giving yourself a hug....the way your back rounds over, that's the position this chair puts your back in when you sit back into it. And there's no way to adjust it. Also, the headrest is too far forward. It only reinforces the "rounding over" of your back because it pushes your head farther forward than the base of your neck. I really wanted to love this chair, because it looks great, and matches the aesthetic of my workspace perfectly, but it causes so much pain, that I don't think I can use it much longer. I used it everyday for the first week or so until the pain got too bad. I took a couple of days away from it, and the pain disappeared... Started sitting in it again and after about an hour I have to tap out, because the pain comes back. I'm not even sure if I can return it at this point. With this chair, comfort and ergonomics were definitely an afterthought, if even thought of at all. Really is a shame. ... show more

    • Beautiful chair / cheap, poorly fitting accessories

This review has been updated: First off, the chair itself (the upholstered part) is a beautiful teal color and covered in very nice leather. The base seems to be made nicely and the wheels secure easily. The chair is comfortable (based on limited use) Be warned that the back of this chair is very tall. I am 5'6'' and have to sit really straight and up to be comfortable. This aspect of the chair cannot be adjusted. Update: after a couple of weeks of use, I find the chair quite comfortable for my height even with the tall back, but would definitely recommend for tall people. That being said, the accessories provided with the chair seem to be poorly fitting and made of very cheap material, which is frankly unacceptable with such an expensive piece of furniture. One issue is that the screws and screw holes are not a great fit and this is very obvious where the arm-rests attach - it was impossible to secure one of the armrests fully so that it continues to wobble no matter how tight the screw is put in. Another issue is that the plastic screw covers for the armrests are made of some type of really cheap plastic and are not a good fit. I managed to secure only one of them nicely without trouble. The other two are secured, but not fitting well, and the fourth one just snapped in half during my attempt to secure a better fit. It took some time to figure out how the back tilt mechanism of the chair works - at the end of the day, it seems that the resistance of the back should be adjusted to the lowest possible setting to make sure the chair tilts back. Customer service was not responsive when contacted by phone, but responded when contacted via amazon. So far they have been accommodating in their responses - will update when issues are resolved. Update: customer service was excellent in resolving issues, they sent me complementary screws and plastic screw covers, and I’m happy to report I was able to secure the armrests with the new screws in a way that they no longer wobble. Great chair, I am returning it. The quality is good, it is built well. I want to like it, but the ergonomics just do not fit me personally. I'm sure it would fit many others. If you think you would like a chair like this with good lumbar support and real leather, this is a great chair and I would recommend it. Pros: Zuri has been great to work with. The chair looks as nice in person as it does here. It is all that it is described to be. I was not disappointed in quality anywhere. Cons: If you need to return it, there is not an automatic UPS/Fedex label. You are given a address and you have to ship with your own carrier of choice. The box is large and asymmetrical, so it will likely be an expensive return. The seat is also a wee bit tall for my short legs. I'm 5'9" - my feet *could* rest flat on the floor, but just *barely*. I needed another 1/2" down. ... show more

I gave it a week before reviewing so I can see how it lasts with prolonged usage. It's leather, not bonded leather. I have had so many chairs fall apart because it was bonded leather. Getting something made of actual leather is nice. The remaining materials are also nice. Real metal, and the wheels roll around nicely. It took me a little while for the air can to lift up and down, but overall the assembly was easy. They leave very clear instructions and all the screw points were aligned properly. Getting a tight fitment was very easy. Only real con is that the seat cushion is a little on the thin side. It's firmer foam so it holds up well and provides good comfort for about 4ish hours. If you are sitting for longer than 4 hours you may experience some discomfort, but you really shouldn't be seated for more than an hour in the first place. As an office chair it performs beyond expectations, but it is by no means a sofa seat. ... show more
