Description

The Sterling Leather Executive Chair has that sculpted look that gives off a modern, opulent vibe. Protect your back from aching while working long hours with the curved lumbar and head support with padding. The seat and back feature a seamed lattice pattern on luxurious genuine leather upholstery, while the back of the chair and gently curving armrests are finished in a high quality leatherette match. The base consists of a polished aluminum five pointed frame with smooth rolling caster wheels for easy mobility around the office. The seat is adjustable in a variety of ways including a standard gas lift height adjustment lever. The reclining function transitions from fully upright at 90 degrees and tilting all the way back to 120 degrees. You can also lock the reclining position so that it will only go back to a certain point and you don't have to worry about reclining farther back than is desired. There is also a tension knob that adjusts the resistance when reclining that you can make looser or tighter depending on how easily you want to be able to engage the tilting. The synchro mechanism reclines both the seat and backrest but at a 1:2 ratio that minimizes the recline of the seat in comparison to the backrest. This prevents the rocking chair effect and helps keep your feet on the ground while still increasing blood circulation and better spinal alignment. Unlike most chairs that advertise real leather, this one actually is. You can tell by the texture grain and smell and thickness that you can see through the assembly points. Real high-quality cowhide. Don’t get me wrong. It smells good not unpleasant. Like high-quality leather should. The packaging is good. It arrives in a reasonable package that is a little heavy as it should be for high-quality merchandise. I laid everything out on a rug And put it together by myself. It took about an hour. The challenging parts are the alignment of the vertical chair to the seat. Because of the high quality nature of the product, the specifications are tight and the margin for air is slim. Take your time and make sure that the bolts do not get cross threaded. The arms are , hard to align. Once everything is tightened, the chair is solid as a rock. It has adjustable, reclining levels using a tightening wheel underneath. You can lock the chair upright or unlock and recline. The chair is extremely comfortable. I am 6 foot one and 180 pounds and it’s perfect. If you are shorter, I could see how it may not contour to your spine. If you are taller it will be fine. It is a large chair. Difficult to find a real high quality leather chair on Amazon. It took me hours to find this chair and I highly recommend it. ... show more

    • Excellent chair with prompt delivery but assembly requires strength
I ordered the teal colored chair, and am very pleased. An envelope from Zuri arrived the next day, and the chair itself surprisingly arrived 3 days early (the tracking on Amazon was for the envelope, not the actual chair unfortunately). It arrived in good shape, although the roller wheels had punched a hole in the cardboard. It was challenging to assemble, in that the holes in the vinyl (I don't think it's leather on the surfaces you don't contact while sitting in the chair) and padding were off ~1/4" from where the screws go in. It took my husband and I assisting about 55 minutes to assemble (and he's assembled several chairs like this before). I would not have been able to do this on my own, as required more strength to pull the fabric and padding out of the way with the screw and line it up and actually thread the screw. But once assembled, it fit very well and feels quite solid. I've been sitting in this chair daily for several hours (4-10 total) for two weeks now, and really like it. The padding is firm. The color is as represented. I'm 5'9" and I had to raise the seat a bit for proper body alignment, so I think it would work for shorter people. My husband is 6'7" and the back is too short for him. One feature I particularly like is the seat is all one piece - I don't have to worry about the back breaking off from the seat. I am enjoying the leather - quite pampering - and shouldn't fall apart like bonded leather. I'd recommend this chair especially if you have the manpower to assemble it. ... show more

This is a really nice chair -- real metal, real leather. Assembly was easy and everything went together well and feels sturdy. I only just got it, so I will reserve judgment about how it wears over time, but first impressions are excellent. It feels good and fits me very well. I am 6'2" and my head actually rests against the headrest. Fancy that! The quilted stitching is very nice and gives it the luxury car seat look and feel. I was apprehensive about spending this king of money on an office chair, because I was concerned that it would not be that much of an upgrade over the lesser chairs. I loved this chair. Great style and comfort. Then the leg broke clean off and I need to find a new one. For this price, the aluminum legs should not be this cheap. Anyone have any luck getting a replacement?

I bought this chair to go in my airport office to match my "Acme Furniture Brancaster Distress Chocolate Desk" that I also recently purchased. Although not a perfect match, they complement one another nicely. The chair leather is good quality as is the stitching. The base is solid. I did buy some upgraded wheels to make it quieter and hopefully easier on my floor. Some have commented that it is firmer than some, which it is. I didn't find it to be an issue. I am 5'11" and 225#. The chair is a good fit for me. Assembly was easy and everything you need is in the box. I would buy it again. Expensive but worth it. ... show more
