Having measured and measured and plotted out the footprint and seat depth, etc. before purchasing I was shocked to discover that the futon is SO small it will not accommodate an adult sitting on it trying to read or watch TV. When opened up, the bed is un-sleep-able since the frames around both the seat and back panels almost poke through the fabric, so it's not possible to lay down, either in the middle or on either (very narrow) side. Went together very easily and weighs nothing to move around. Also provides nothing for comfort. Avoid this futon; spend a little more and get what is needed and wanted. I will. ... show more

After putting a piece of memory foam on the seat and adding memory foam to the pillows, the futon is comfortable. If I need to have a visitor sleep on it, I will probably add another piece of memory foam for comfort. Besides adding the memory foam, the piece was easy to put together. Not as comfortable as expected. Quite small in size as well. Our dogs seem to enjoy them more than we do. Positive note. They are very easy to assemble. These seem more suitable for a college dorm room than they do in a living room/family room.
