I did my daughter’s nails too, and they came out much better than when I try to paint them (7 year olds cannot physically sit still lol). I’ll definitely be ordering more colors and larger bottles of base, activator, and top coat. Speaking of top coat, it dries super fast, so as long as you can give it the 60 seconds to dry you are good to go. Amazing. Buy this set if you’re looking for an intro into at-home dip manis! This was a great kit to get started learning how to do dip powders at home. I used to use gel polish, but this kit changed my mind. I do recommend that when you go to take it off that you place some cotton balls in a gallon ziplock bag with acetone and coconut oil. Then warm up some water in a bowl, but make sure it is not too hot so you don’t burn yourself. Place your hand in the bag and the bag in the water for 15 minutes. Make sure you are rubbing your nails against the cotton balls during the 15 minutes and the polish will come off. I wish I knew this the first time I tried to take the polish off.

Easy to use just follow directions. I didn’t use the gel top coat (bottle 3) it smells like glue and it threw me off. I used the modelones gel top coat and just cured under UV lamp. I recommend doing the pour method since dipping in small containers were difficult. Just used a spare nail extension and poured over the nail worked for me. But over all I’m happy with first time using it.

This is my first ever dip starter kit. I’ve filed my mails myself three times now and I finally feel I’ve cracked the code. The first couple of times I followed the instructions exactly, but they started cracking 2-3 days later. This last time, my nails are really lasting thanks to a tip/extra step learned on Google. So i realize my gripe wasn’t with the product, but with my application. The bottles could be a little wider. Because they are so narrow and short, it’s easy to make a mess dipping because the powder falls out. I’d say out a piece of paper down so that you can easily funnel the fallen powder back into the jar when you’re done. As you start using up the powder after a couple of sets, and the container isn’t as full so there will be less of a mess. Also, idk if it’s the shape of the bottom of the container, or the smooth surface of my foldout table, but my containers kept sliding off of my table top folding tray. I actually wasted the whole jar of glitter the first night this way. I ended up mixing colors. The pink powder first appears really soft, but it came out a lot brighter than i would have liked soni mixed the white, pink, and a little of the cream color to get a softer pink that almost looks like Bubble Bath nail color. The file and buffer that came with the kit are good. It was good for what I needed… to just try to see if i can dip my own nails a time or two before purchasing a more expensive kit.

Love the ease of using this. It doesn’t let that long, maybe a week some are popping off. I used a binder and that lasted longer.
