  • A great LP liner sleeve for yoru precious records
Color: Grey
I bought these a year ago January via Amazon as part of a larger order of items as I needed some decent album liners to replace worn out paper ones that come with most LP's and knew they were of quality. What I like about them is simply the fact that there is rice paper in between sheets of the poly on the back side to provide support/structure to the sleeves so they can be inserted into the album covers much easier. They don't leave anything on the LP's nor do they produce static as I do not get any additional static or pops/clicks from using them on my LP's but then again, I don't live where it's excessively dry during the winter months so that helps. Overall they have been great in day to day use and will happily buy more when the time comes. Since I had originally purchased the original package in 2016, I find these still a pleasure to use and fit the LP inside their outer covers just fine. The one thing I'd change is rounding the corners, especially the bottom ones so they can insert into the jackets a bit easier. Otherwise, they bunch up in the corner but DO protect the LP's from swirl marks (or any additional ones if the LP is a used purchase and has some swirls already). Any new LP that comes in a paper sleeve also gets one of these to protect it as I play the album, taking it out of the jacket to play. LP's fit nicely inside and the rice paper insert does make the otherwise very flimsy poly inner sleeves easier to handle to insert/slide out the record and to insert into their outer jackets. So far they have held up well, not split or anything else and had finally used up the original pack a while ago and finally got around to buying another pack of these MOFI sleeves as I've purchased additional LP's and some older albums I've had for a good while are now in dire need of new inner sleeves so without hesitation, bought a fresh pack of these and they have arrived literally in 2 days from purchase. All in all, still recommend these if you desire to protect your LP's from daily use. ... show more

  • Gold standard
Color: Grey
I have several different types of inners, paper of varying thicknesses and shapes/cuts, mofi, originals, poly. When u buy a lot of used records like i do you'll run into many different types. These mofi sleeves are probably the highest quality I've seen thus far. I haven't had any issues with static or fitment of my records, and the vinyl slips in and out easily without picking up a charge that i can see/feel. Seems like if u put in a clean record u get a clean one when u take it out, cant say that about most paper and even poly. They feel like smooth rice paper to me and I like them alot. Ill probably buy more when i run out, and im sure i will as i try to replace all inner sleeves with these now, i trust them with my records and feel they do the job pretty well. Pricey but worth it i think, recommended if your vinyl is precious and u want to protect it the best u can. UPDATE 12/18/21: Wow, really?!?! More than doubled in price since the last time I purchased?!?! I like them, but not THAT much! I've heard of inflation, but this is a just plain combination of crime, and greed! I'll look for something comparable, preferably something not priced so blatantly ridiculously! Ya lost me here Mofi, too greedy, they're only inner sleeves FFS! I HAVE the money btw, just don't wanna feel like an idiot after I buy something, like I would if I bought this, shape up mofi, and get a clue! ... show more

  • Pretty much the industry standard for quality inner sleeves. Pretty much the industry standard for quality inner sleeves.
Color: Grey
A valid question is: why should I bother replacing the inner sleeves on my records? The most extreme example of "why?" that I have experienced: I recently found a sealed original pressing of Ozawa's "The Rite of Spring" on RCA, 1968. I paid a bit of a premium for it since it was still sealed, opened it, and found that the original RCA plastic lined inner sleeve had chemically reacted with the record surface, permanently damaging the record, which was otherwise pristine and factory fresh. One supposes that in 1968 that RCA thought this inner sleeve was a premium product, however time has proved it otherwise. I, along with many thousands of other people out there, have been using these MoFi sleeves for at least 10 years without any notable issues. Paper, and cardboard, factory-provided inner sleeves can scar, scuff, and scratch the surface of the vinyl as the record is being pulled out; note how often descriptions of used records being sold include the phrases "paper scuffs" and "hairlines" due to this fact. These MoFi sleeves are designed to minimize that sort of destruction, and as far as anybody can tell at this point, also designed to be archival and not react with the surface of the vinyl. All the new vinyl that comes through here gets a wet vacuuming with the Opera Consonance record cleaning machine, using several varieties of Audio Intelligent record cleaning fluids, and then the original inner sleeves are replaced with these. I am also slowly replacing the inner sleeves on thousands of other records with the Mobile Fidelity sleeves. I've gone through quite a number of packages of these inner sleeves over the last 10 years with no problems, other than the fact they can be a little frustrating in use, i.e. the softness and slickness of the materials used can require a bit more extra effort to separate and insert the records. The sleeves are about a dollar each after shipping, but if you're serious about preserving your vinyl, they are pretty much the best option out there. I have noticed some off-brand knockoffs out there in a lower price range, but since I have many years experience with this product, I think it's probably worth the extra money to stick with the brand name. If you're going to go through the trouble of trying to preserve your records, you may as well spend the extra money. I consider myself more of a record listener than a record collector, but I would still like to preserve these items in the best possible condition for the longest time. ... show more

  • These are good sleeves, but I like the DiscKeeper Audiophile Sleeves better for just a little more $$.
Color: Grey
I primarily use three types of inner record sleeves: 1) The DiscKeeper 2.0 Anti-static sleeves - you can get these for $9.99 + $3 Media Mail shipping direct from Sleeve City, or here on Amazon for $14.99 Prime. I use these for the bulk of my lesser - mid value vinyl and they are good utility sleeve for a fair price. They are a 2.0 mil sleeve, and I don't try to slide them into the record jacket sleeve, as they tend to crumple up. I put the record jacket into the outer protective sleeve, then slide this sleeve with the record in it external to record jacket. Makes for easier access to the vinyl, as you don't have to pull the entire record jacket out of the out protective sleeve to play the record. 2) These MoFi Sleeves - they just a tad thicker than the DiscKeeper 2.0, and have one side opaque and backed with a lining to make the sleeve a little more rigid. I use them the same way as the DiscKeeper 2.0, and don't try to slide these into the record jacket - they are also a little thin for this. They are a little higher quality than the 2.0's, and for the extra money proved a little better manageability. 3) The DiscKeeper Audiophile sleeves. These are a little more than $$ than these Mofi sleeves, you can get the Audiophile sleeve for $19.99 plus $3 shipping direct from Sleeve City. But, for my needs, the Audiophile sleeves are worth the little extra expense if you want maximum protection for your more cherished vinyl. The Audiophile sleeves are backed on one side with a thick "rice" paper stock sandwiched between polyethylene, but the inner portion is still polyethylene so it offers good protection. It is also easier to slide the Audiophile sleeve into the record jacket if you wish, because the added thickness / rigidity means they do not want to crumple up as easily and slide in much better. I like these sleeves a lot for the money, and I prefer to use these for my high valued vinyl. I still like these MoFi sleeves, and own 100 of them - but for the price, and if I had to choose based on price to value, I would choose the DiscKeeper Audiophile sleeve (#3) for my higher valued vinyl, and then choose the DiscKeeper 2.0 (#1) for a more utility sleeve. Your mileage may vary, mine is just an opinion and not right or wrong, so choose based on your own criteria. Thanks for reading. ... show more

  • Great product! Just buy it
Color: Grey
This is a great product. These are the same sleeves used by the National Archives, so you know that these are effective in preserving your records. They do exactly what they claim: anti-static, non-scratching. When I pull a record out of one of these sleeves, I rarely every get static (when I do, it is very minor). These sleeves just fit to the record perfectly; it is somewhat difficult to understand it through words without having a firsthand visual demonstration. I am new to collecting records, and therefore may not be qualified to speak on this, but so far it seems as if these sleeves help to prevent that ring forming on the album cover itself, which is caused by the record pressing on the cover over time. Since these sleeves fit so well to the record, it seems to be doing a very good job at preventing the record from poking out and creating that ring. I have owned these sleeves for about 4 months now, and none of them have ripped or become damaged in any way, and will protect any sort of record, even the bulky 180g. NOTE: these are for 12 inch records, although I do have a 7" in one because I do not own any smaller types of sleeves. It still does its job effectively for the smaller record. If you are serious about protecting your records, invest in this product. Obviously, buy a bigger amount if you have a ton of records. I will definitely buy this again when I run out of sleeves. I won't even bother looking elsewhere, these sleeves are that good. ... show more
