I'm not sure if it's because the unit is renewed... if it ever worked in the first place, but it was a fruitless struggle to try and add this device to my Apple Home environment. I will try and purchase directly from Apple at a retail store to see if I have different results. 6 hours of my time, following all of Apple's support recommendations, RESTORING the dang thing by connecting it to my macbook, leaving it for hours to self-configure - nothing worked. That said, the volume and bass could be stronger, and Siri can be hit or miss sometimes.
