Plus, it’s $20 - that’s an amazing price for such a good product. Don’t believe the other reviews saying the instructions were difficult or confusing - the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I like this better than the metal top I was using before since it kept rusting. I like that the heat lamp does not make it hot. Now putting it together was another story. My husband had to help me with this since I had to go over a chord and the supports for the plexiglass sunning spot. It was hard to get the top to snap into the bottom. I still do not have the back right corner snapped in all the way. It's still the best alternative I've found for my oddly shaped tank. Trying to get a custom top made for it was way to expensive so I'm happy with this. ... show more

Listen, to be able to cover a tank without having to buy an entire new tank is great. Yes, it's very hard to press this stuff in place, but eventually I got the hang of it. Without something like this, I would have had to spend 4 times the money and buck up for an entirely new tank. Very ingenious. Very hard to put together. Horrible, instructions were lacking smart enough to figure it out. Not sturdy or secure weak adhesive, the magnetic strips pull the glue, ends pop off and don't fasten securely. Waste of money!

    • Really good multiuse mesh
I use it for my reptiles the mesh doesn’t burn and its easy to work with and the magnet is strong enough to hold some weight.

    • Falls apart
It's difficult to assemble, and the instructional video is in chinese. Once I did manage to assemble it, it falls apart when I try to lift it up off the tank. The lid part thats supposed to lift up is the mesh sandwiched between a magnetic strip and plastic strip. These are supposed to snap together to keep the mesh in place but every time I lift it up to feed my fish the two layers fall apart, the mesh falls out, and I have to snap them back together. It does provide more coverage than the glass top I was using previously, but it's such a pain to use. ... show more

Instructions were in a foreign language but the YouTube video provided was pretty clear on installation. I was able to fit this around a 40 gallon tank. It even stays on with objects (like a tank chiller and the filter pipes) sticking out of it
