Ok, I am convinced this Sofa and Loveseat is the exact same Sofa and Loveseat sold my Modern Fort for $650 more. Everything is identical, and the Modern Fort reviews are abundant and very high. People seem to be fully satisfied with their purchase. I also suspect the Sofa and Loveseat may be some of MF’s dated inventory that they are trying to move, hence the $650 discount. The Sofa came two days apart from the Loveseat and the packaging was old, but the contents were in good condition. The color of the beige may be a bit dulled, but I am not sure, as I have it in my head now it may be older inventory. With that said, the color of all of the fabric on the Sofa and Loveseat are consistent throughout, and when I look at pictures of other beige furniture online it seems to be consistent with other manufactures. The initial assembly was a bit tricky, but after I got the arm rests on the rest was easy. I did it by myself. If you are still reading, it is probably because you are seriously thinking about purchasing the set. Pictures really don’t do it justice. The design is contemporary. The appealing low-profile design makes it stand out from other furniture. It has a significant first impression. Fabric is a little edgy, not super consistent which I like. Almost looks handmade, or at least like it didn’t come off an assembly line, though it probably did. Cushions all have solid springs in them. Firm. Cushions can be unzipped and removed for washing. Same with pillows. It is quite firm. The weight is substantial. Back is firm. Has a lot of nice extras, like Velcro on the cushions so they stay in place, and the thick iron feet feel more like industrial strength hardware to be used in a professional or commercial venue. Fabric is soft to the touch, and I totally smeared dust all over the armrest when putting it together, but it cleaned up easily by just hitting my hand on it several times. No water or soap needed. It was then I saw the advantage of the color being a bit nuanced. I could no longer see where the stain had been. The fabric will display many shades of beige depending on how the light catches it, or the warmth of the bulbs you are using in your living room. I would recommend this style be accompanied by a more contemporary or modern living room. In conclusion, I have no doubt this couch will last longer than me. Unless I set fire to it, or it gets run over by a tank, it will still be somewhere in 50 years. I took a bit of a gamble, and it paid off. ... show more
