This is the second Mixpresso I’ve purchased. I bought the first one (red) and liked it so much I bought a second Mixpresso (black) for our lake home Both machines came very well packaged. Definitely not frustration-free packing bit it certainly did the job. The set up was quick and easy for the first machine. No issues whatsoever, even for a novice. The one I bought for our lake house was a bit of an issue. It’s an old lake cabin and has only two prong outlets. So it required a three prong adapter (we have proper grounding) and we plan on upgrading to a proper three prong outlet soon. That glitch isn’t Mixpresso’s fault but be advised, it does require a three prong outlet. I haven’t had any issues with the machine properly accepting a variety of Nespresso capsules . They all have loaded properly first try and delivered good espresso. I would say that the black model seems to drip, drip, drip longer than the red. I’m patient. The black model seems a bit quieter than the red but that could be a matter of different kitchen acoustics. All in all, it’s no louder than other machines I’ve heard. It’s easy to clean. The water canister is a bit fiddly to fill and set but I solved that annoyance by bringing the water to the canister. Much easier. Although I can’t speak to longevity, no issues thus far and I consider it a good bargain.

Love the size, we can put our two coffee makers next to each other without problem. Love the simplicity, and even more the way the used pod drops inside and can be collected later and rinse without much ado. It does make a lot of noise (which announces that you are going to have a great bit of coffee), but stops almost immediately for your espresso. Did we say we love it?

Updated: Went from 5 stars to 1, bought it July 1, 2021 worked great till today, February 19, 2022. After brewing a double shot it quit working. Won’t turn on. I unplugged it and let it sit for a bit then plugged back in, it came back on and I was able to use it again. But the next day after pulling another double shot it shut off again. Fuse is not being blown so we know it’s the machine. Only 7 months old. Very disappointed. I cleaned it every month and we only use Berkey water. Didn’t matter. It’s dead. I contacted customer service since it’s still within the 1 yr manufacturer warranty. Hoping they will help and make it right. Original review: Took a chance on this Nespresso knock-off. Read the reviews and decided to roll the dice, didn’t want to pay over $100 for the brand name. We did not get one that was used like some people did. It works great! No issues so far, we only had it for a week so if for some reason we start having issues I will come back and update my review. We use the Starbucks Blonde Espresso Nespresso pods and this machine makes great espresso with nice crema on top. It is loud but so are all espresso machines, even the professional ones. I folded up a dish towel and placed the machine on top to help minimize the vibration sound. It helps. Only thing I’m wondering about is if the plastic is BPA free, still waiting to hear back from the company. There’s no mention of it in the manual, here on Amazon or their website.🤔 Most things are BPA free today but just want to make sure.

I'd like to preface by saying that my wife and I decided on this machine after our Nespresso machine of eight years finally bit the dust. I will say that I have no illusions of this Mixpresso lasting such a long time as it simply isn't built as well. More light weight, cheaper feeling plastics (especially the water tank) and the handle/capsule feed area feels like a point of failure waiting to happen. Having said that, it is half the price of the other machine and functions as it should. I think this would be a super value product if you caught it on sale at $65 like I did. At $80, not as much. I am still rating this a four out of five because it does what it should, is easy to use and clean and I think it will last long enough to return its value. We no longer use a nespresso machine 6+ times a day as we have moved on to an actual Espresso machine and grind our own freshly roasted coffee. But my wife still likes this for a quick cup when she is late going out the door. Or for guests who prefer it. I think it would be a great choice for someone who doesn't know if they want a Nespresso machine or wants a second machine for the office, garage, fishing cabin or anywhere else where it will see infrequent use. Oh, and I will add that it seems to work best with aluminum capsules, and you need to be careful when feeding plastic capsules in as they don't like to fall into place. I can't imagine crushing one in there would be a good thing! As a point of reference, it works great with Nespresso, Peets and Starbucks pods.

Very loud, stopped working couple of times in the middle of usage. Power it down & restarts. Overall very satisfied with it. Used daily 3-4 times. @ $99.00 I wish it would be a bit hotter in temperature. But for the price it’s good. Just have to use hotter milk to keep desired temperature. FYI. This is our second unit we’ve owned. First init lasted a 18 months and then started to leak water everywhere within the unit. Not covered by warranty. @$199.99 Overall great product. 1/4 the price of a coffee shop.

I LOVE espresso and the original Nespresso pods are the way to go. This machine has been reliable and makes great coffee. However, it makes more noise than I'd like. Basically can't use it early in the morning if my wife is trying to sleep. I didn't even know that was an issue until I went to an AirBNB and used their machine and the thing operated at barely a whisper. But, for the price, a solid machine and we have made hundreds of cups of coffee with no problem.
