I used these for a 40 hour milsim event. I only needed 2 the entire time. I got these because I can charge them off a battery bank if I needed to but I really didn't even have to. I probably could have gotten more out of each battery but I changed them early because I had time and couldn't afford it dying on me in a fight and have to dig for a battery. Again, I don't remember how much juice they had when I changed them, but they did very well. I wonder how far a single battery could have gotten me.

Extended battery life, perfect fit. Makes the radio look and feel far more substantial. It’s a good thing. This one came with a usb charging cable, but no charging indicator on the battery. Overall very pleased.

This fit perfectly on my Baofeng UV5R. Snapped in place and fits snug. I was able to fit it in and charge it in my Baofeng charger. I did not try the USB charging yet. My only complaint is the two plastics tabs on the bottom. They extend further than the tabs on the radio making it impossible to sit it upright on a table. This could be fixed easily by sanding or filing down the tabs. The radio with this battery does fit nicely in the charger sitting up right the tabs intact. That is my only complaint. I really like how it extends the length of the radio making it more like a walkie talkie and easier to hold. I plan to buy another one.

The media could not be loaded. I got this for my BF-F8HP. It charges to 8.2 volts DC. Holding down 0 (SQL) will verify your batteries current charge. Two issues or rather annoyances are the battery does not snap into place on my radio you can pull it out without pushing the battery release button. It will still hold in place semi securely but not lock. I'm guessing ill have to shave tiny bits of plastic off with my dremmel tool to get it to slide fully into locking position. Another is the charging cable being wonky when plugging it in to get it to charge. BUT having that ability to charge the battery off the USB is worth the annoyance imo. Only worry I have with that is how long untill it stops working. Overall for the price this is a great accessory to have for my radio.

I actually couldn't rate the longevity or battery life, as I haven't had it long enough. The original battery I got (model # BL-5) did not work with my radio (Baofeng BH-F8HP). It would not clip in, so it just fell out. I worked with the support for the battery, and they sent a new battery. It looked identical, but had a different model # (BL-5L). It still doesn't clip in quite as "tight" as the original battery, but it does stay in now. Very good customer service, and so far, no issues with the new battery.

I hoped this would fit the BF-F8HP well enough--it fits great! Extends the length of the radio a bit, but feels balanced and comfortable to hold. Charges fine in the standard drop-in charger and really nice to have the option of USB charging. The charging port is up toward the top of the battery pack on the edge--very unobtrusive and kind of protected by the radio's metal lanyard anchor.

I charged the battery with a genuine Baofeng charger It seemed to charge but the green light never came on eventually it started blinking I put it in the radio The radio came on I turned it off and after a while the battery lost all charge and would not let the charger light come on red just started blinking Asked for a replacement I feel it was an old battery to start with That's why it was so cheap😠 Now I'm having to send it back in order not to be charged for a replacement😠 Don't make sense having to send it back as a hazmat risk😠 Just some BS To my notion😠 Very unhappy to have to drive 10 miles to mail it back or spend $8 to have UPS pick it up here at my home I could order another battery for that Very unhappy with the process😠 Update on new battery This one came in with 3 bars already on it The first battery I returned didn't have any charge right out of the box We'll see how this one goes 🤨 stay tuned

There are a few reviews that mention that it won't lock in a BF-F8HP. This is correct, it would not lock in place and would easily slide off. I used a needle file on the 3 spots I marked in the pictures. The plastic that comes up from the battery had a few burrs and was not even. Once I got that down it wouldn't lock in easily. So I filed under the locking hook in the center of the battery just a few swipes did the job. Also, my first battery arrived swollen and the housing was cracked along the seem. Amazon made it right and sent out a replacement right away. Only real inconvenience was having to wait and the drive to the battery disposal bin. It smelled like burnt so I didn't want to chance it in my trash can.
