Ideal for all soft or hard woods, Minwax Wood Conditioner has a water-based formula and penetrates the grain of the wood to promote uniform acceptance of water-based wood stains and helps control the effect of grain. The clear pre wood stain conditioner prevents streaking and blotching and ensures a beautiful, even stain for all water-based stains.Stir well before and during application. Do not thin. To apply, use a clean cloth or wood stain brush and apply in the direction of the grain. Wait 1-5 minutes and wipe away excess conditioner. Do not allow product that has not penetrated the wood to dry on the wood surface. After 15-30 minutes, lightly sand the surface with fine-grade sandpaper to smooth any raised grain. Remove all sanding dust. Only one coat is needed! One quart covers up to 27,500 feet. Easily clean up with soap and water.Minwax is America’s leading brand of wood finishing and wood care projects.
