    • Hopefully it can stand up to my dogs.
I was looking for a trim paint for my house. We have 3 dogs and somehow they scratch or chip the trim throughout my house. So far so good it goes on like any other paint but this stuff self levels and is very smooth to the touch. It was $20 cheaper on Amazon than at my Lowe’s store.

    • Good coverage and polished look
This has good coverage it did take me about three-four coats on my very old kitchen cabinets but the finish is great. It’s not too thick and application was easy. A whole gallon did my whole kitchen and the vanity in the upstairs bathroom great value for the money.

    • Needed more coats of paint than recommended.
I used this cabinet reconstruction on oak cabinets and here’s what I found: 1-While it recommends 1 to 2 coats of paint, I ended up using 4 coats for the cabinets using a 5” nap roller and a paint brush for the harder to reach corners to not have any see through oak color. 2-The instructions recommend light coats. I tried both light coats and heavy coats and there was no noticeable difference in quality. 3-Sandind was also recommended. While I did sand before applying the paint for the paint to have a rough surface to adhere to, I did not sand after painting each of the 4 coats. There was no difference, in my opinion, in aesthetics. 4-The other instructions such as drying time did apply as recommended. Overall, this cabinet paint met my expectations and looks incredible. Ok, I am over the moon about this paint! I used an entire quart and reordered the gallon size. It is the most perfect white, extremely forgiving and easy to work with, and dries to a gorgeous not-quite-matte finish. Lovely. I have painted 4 doors and and frames, front and back, plus a window sill. A little goes a long way! I have found success by brushing on several thin layers, and patiently letting them dry between coats. I have used a brush (a couple of brushes) exclusively, no rollers, and the finish is gorgeous without paint strokes. I covered up an almond high gloss finish, and the results are perfect!
