Description

The durable, saltwater-ready Minn Kota Riptide Fortrex hand-controlled trolling motor features an extruded aluminum mono-arm design that helps your trolling motor run quieter and with less wear for longer life. The patented Lift-Assist design with a stainless steel, nitrogen gas-charged spring cuts the weight of stow-and-deploy in half, while the removable Bowguard 360 bracket breaks away on impact from any angle and automatically resets itself to give you uninterrupted fishing. The mount's integrated counter-tension stabilizer spring applies force whether the Riptide Fortrex is stowed or deployed, helping reduce steering torque. This variable-speed trolling motor includes Minn Kota's Digital Maximizer feature, which allows you to dial in your exact speed, draws only as much power as you need, and provides up to five times longer run time on a single battery charge. The push-to-test battery meter on the trolling motor head gives you an instant status of the battery life you have left. Minn Kota Riptide motors are designed with advanced corrosion protection and fully-encapsulated electronics to ensure the ultimate saltwater defense. The Riptide Fortrex trolling motor combines an indestructible composite shaft with the swept-back flared blades of the Weedless Wedge 2 Prop to power through anything without battery-draining chopping and hacking. This is a great motor. The unit lift sometimes sticks, and the unit is heavy - which makes the hydrolic lift nice. Has plenty of power and is very good on battery life. Pulls a lot of current in windy situations, so make sure your wiring is free of corrosion and the proper guage.

Works as it should. Gets stuck all the time when I try to stow after being deployed. For a SX210 Skeeter it's underpowered.

I ordered it on Amazon and worked fine for the first week. It then had trouble keeping a charge. The led lights lit up, but the motor did not turn. I'm taking it into get serviced and will let you know if it is a simple thing to fix.
