I was surprised to see how hard it was to replace the pully rope on two of our trolling motors. Its tricky to replace the rope and keep the unit from hitting the lock position. This will again have to be replaced in a couple of years, it depends on how much you fish. We have two boats and we fish year round, which most do. And every time you rise and lower your unit, even with a guide on it, it puts tension on the cord and makes it weaker and weaker.. Will change this out with a more solid unit, its just a matter of time before this one breaks as well ... show more

It hasn’t given me a single bit of trouble, it works every time I use it but I feel stretch in the rope that leads me to believe it may break soon.
