  • The smallest heavyweight (X1-255 barebone) The smallest heavyweight (X1-255 barebone)
Size: X1-255-Barebone
This thing is way faster than it seems like it should be. It boots fast, loads applications fast, downloads/uploads fast, and all while being ridiculously quiet! The fans only come on if you open 50+ tabs at once or launch a game. That being said, expecting this to run games regularly or perfectly will be disappointing. It's a laptop chipset, but it handles itself well with low FPS or less intense games, albeit, more loudly. This thing does get its full potential from NVMe drives, using the WD SN7100 in mine. The chassis is the perfect size and was easy to open to install my RAM and drive. The UMA dedicated RAM can be adjusted up to 8GB. Wake on LAN works great! Did not test the software RAID but the docs claim it is supported. Windows 10 does run on it, just requires a little more effort to get the drivers working. Never got the WLAN working but wireless will not be used in my setup. Well worth the money, but after bad luck with some of these mini PCs I definitely recommend the 3 year ext warranty. ... show more

  • Quiet and Powerful for hosting Virtual Machines. Very reliable so far.
Size: X1-255-Barebone
It has worked well for me so far. I am running Proxmox 9 on it for running Virtual Machines. I purchased the Barebones model, added 96 GB of Crucial RAM, and a couple of NVME drives. I have it in my office that I use daily for work and it has been very quiet. Hopefully it continues to work this way in the years to come. ... show more

  • Very fast and quiet mini-PC very cheap
Size: X1-255-Barebone
These AMD powered mini PCs are great. They just work, have a fast and powerful CPU, have decent integrated graphics and are extremely quiet and efficient. Perfect for just getting work done.

  • Fast and quiet
Size: X1-255-Barebone
Tried another mini pc in this class but I went with this one. Love how quiet the fan is and the processor is quick. Wish the power button wasn't so bright but I'm going to make a custom solution for that

  • Get barebone if you want to customize larger size. Get barebone if you want to customize larger size.
Size: X1-255-Barebone
I got the barbone one. Worked great! - Love the USB 4 speed. Worked very fast with the Corsair 1TB external SSD connected to the front USB 4 port - Didn't notice any noise. - I added 32GB RAM Memory capacity and 4TB SSD in one slot that matches with its speed. They work fine. - No memory capacity issue so far. It amor plenty of expansion space for future. - Also includes oculink holder if needed that I believe consumes one of the M2 nvme slot. To add space you can connect external SSD to the USB 4 port. ... show more

  • MinisForum is Perhaps the Best Value MiniPC Maker...
Size: X1-255-Barebone
I have personally purchased many MinisForum system as well had many clients purchase MinisForum systems, all of which were AMD based and every single one perfectly functional and frankly better than I had expected every single time. In total I have built nearly 40 systems using MinisForum mostly BareBone because I like to choose my own tested, highend matched memory kits and ultra fast M.2 SSD (generally PCI4 or 5 and always 7+GBps minimum). Things worth mentioning I do to ensure a perfect build every time: > AMD Builds just seem better (maybe it's just me but nothing but good results) > Make you are grounded in some way while you are working on ANY computer guts (I am bare foot on a grounding pad) > Building with a BareBone? get the best matched Memory Kits & PCI4 M.2 SSD you can afford (I like Team Groups highend stuff) > Learn all you can about late model PC Bios configs because you really need to know what you are doing with ANY decent PC build - Little knowledge + little experience = you build will NOT work very well > Watch lots of vids of known high quality system builders who know Windows > Windows 10 & 11 as Windows has always been are full of bugs and issues, get to know everything you can > Driver issues, use CPU-z to discover what the actual CPU & Chipset is and then pop over to AMD.com and download the correct core chipset and video drivers. Use free "Snappy Driver Origin" for everything else, one at a time > Do lots of Registry BUs while you're working, do one before and after core chipset another after video There is so much to know to build a proper Windows or Linux (I just Love Kubuntu) system that is fast, private and secure. Truth of it is, if you are wanting total privacy and security, there really is No way to get that but Linux come the closest overall and it really is a lovely OS that can be made to look gorgeous and wonderfully stable all the time! But you have to know what you are doing! ... show more
