This thing is a hunk of junk. The hardware they give you to mount it is useless and it is hung by using srews sliding into a key shape slot insted of beig able to remove the cover and actualluy hard mounting it to the wall. This makes it a pain to plumb into your system as it wants to move around as you are trying to fit your pipes. My water supply from my well rarely gets above 60*F and even with the temp set as high as possible, it never got hot enough to be considerd "hot" water and would never be enough to scald you, wigh may be thought of as a good thing by some. The pump is useless as well. It did not create any significat pressure over my well pressure. It also has no way to drin the pressure off if you install it in a colder location. Even though I turned the water off to this unit and opened the faucet that it was suppying, and left it open, the pressure was not reduced enough to avoid it freezing and busting the first night of temps just slightly below freezing. Unless you live in an area that doesn't get below freezing, your well/water supply never gets below 60* F, or can plub it where it can be drained empty I would stay far away from this unit.

Perfect thread size and small lever allowed for fitment in a tight space. I added a 1/2" mpt close nipple, and a 1/2" fpt coupling, and another 1/2" mpt close nipple to get the spacing correct so I could install it easily. It will take some creativity, but that is unavoidable with any of these valves. I couldn't get the male threads on this to seal in a pvc coupling, but the female side sealed great with the included gasket/washer. This valve was such a huge quality of life upgrade for our water heater that gets winterized a dozen times each winter.

Replaced the plastic drain plug for my RV water heater, works perfectly as the original plastic plug deteriorates quickly. (My water heater doesn't use an anode rod)
