Right out of the box, the compact size was a standout—it’s small enough to fit on my workbench without taking over the whole area but still feels sturdy and well-made thanks to its cast iron body. I’ve used it primarily for cutting thin balsa wood and acrylic sheets for some hobby projects, and the precision is impressive. The adjustable cutting depth (up to 16mm) and angle (0° to 90°) are features I didn’t realize I’d use as much as I do—they make it easy to handle different cuts without needing another tool. The transparent safety baffle is a nice touch, too, keeping sawdust under control while still letting me see exactly what I’m doing. The motor packs a punch for such a small machine, with seven-speed settings that let me fine-tune it depending on the material I’m working on. For example, I’ve used slower speeds for delicate acrylic carvings and higher speeds for quick cuts on plywood. The included accessories, like the drill chuck and flexible shaft, add even more versatility. I used the polishing head last weekend to smooth out some rough edges on a model airplane project, and it worked like a charm. The non-slip feet are another underrated feature—they keep the saw stable even when I’m working on harder materials like MDF.
